"Good morning, Ms. Pine. Alpha Kris has invited you to join him for breakfast-- a private meeting for the family," the maid at the door said politely.

"Ugh... Okay. Thanks," I mumbled. The door clicked close and after a yawn, I rolled out of bed and got changed.

Changing into a black shirt and jean shorts, I got the maid to guide me to the private dining area. There, I saw the Kris family seated at the table.

"Good morning," I said politely as I took the only seat available-- in between Donovan and Jonathan, across from Alpha and Luna Kris.

"Hello, Celena. I assume you want to know why we are sitting at this table today?"

"I'm not quite sure, Alpha Kris, but seeing you all here, I think we are going to discuss about the arrangement of Donovan and I," I said. I hear a short huff from Jonathan.

"Jonathan, if you are not going to behave yourself, then leave," Alpha Kris said, turning his attention on my mate.

"I'm not leaving," Jonathan shot back stubbornly, then glancing at me quickly.

"Then be quiet." Aloha Kris looked at me. "This is Jonathan, my second and youngest son," And our mate, Crystal added.

Jonathan must have thought the same thing, and coughed loudly.

I help a smile as I nodded. "Nice to meet you, Jonathan."

"Same," he addressed me, his voice sounding bored. Good, he was in act. Luna Kris started eating her eggs on the plate elegantly.

Wasn't everyone acting?

"Now, we are here to get to know our soon-to-be family member, so first, Celena, tell is a little bit about yourself,"

Oh that was an easy question to answer. I put a bright smile, sat yo struggle and opened my mouth to speak.

Until a warm hand touched my right thigh.

Jonathan

I sat only a few inches to the right of Celena and I couldn't help but sneak a glance at her.

Her straight auburn hair and pink lips. And her shorts... I haven't felt like this before. I've never had his much... need in touching someone.

My wolf, Cameron, was yelling at me to do it, and with my heart thumping loudly in my chest, I reached my left hand under the table and placed my hand over Celena's bare thigh.

I felt her stiffen, but she kept her smile.

"Well, I'm 18, I'm an only child. D-During my free time, I enjoy r-reading stories-- especially Romance, and Sci-fi. I-" I smirked and gave her thighs squeeze. She palmed a hand under the table and held my hand, keeping it from moving.

"I also love to go on walks-- whether it's in the forest or just around the house. I.." I pinched her hand, and she quickly moved it away. Then I found the chance to move my hands up her thighs, brushing the end of her shorts. Oh dam...

"I-I..." My parents were looking at her.

"I'm also done all my years in high school and I'm in my 3rd year of university-- I-I learn online; online school." she added. When she as done her little introduction, I removed my hand. Celena's glare at me was so scary I could've sworn she was planning a secret murder on me.

"I see, well we hope you and Donovan work it out together, because I really want your relationship to be successful,"

I don't, I thought. Celena was mine and only mine. I don't share.

"Me too," Celena said, and turned her head to Donovan, so I see the aback f her head as she said, "I'm ready to move into a more comfortable relationship with you, Donovan."

My mouth was wide open I was sure my jaw touched the ground. Was she serious? Tell me this was part of the act.

"Me too," Donovan said.

My mother glanced at me, "Something wrong, Jonathan? You look like your mouth forgot to close itself."

I closed it with a snap. "Fine, just surprised." I looked at Celena. She just stared at me like we mother did.

The rest of the breakfast went awful. I had to hear everything my parents, from talking about some of the places Donovan could take her, to what kind of cake they should buy for the wedding.

The wedding. That made my wolf growl in disapproval. My mate marrying my brother?

Celena

The rest of the breakfast went perfect. Jonathan didn't touch me anymore, so I was more focused and got to a very interesting conversation. Donovan gave an opinion once in a while, but to be honest, it was Jonathan I was worried about.

He was quiet after I said I was looking forward to being with Donovan, and I was still wondering if he knew it was all just an act. If he actually thought I was serious, then I would be one great actress.
