Chapter 12-A week at the Kris'

I sat on my bed, opened up a book I brought from home, and drank my coffee.

A knock sounded on the door and Crystal yelled in my head happily. He's here, he's here, he's here!

She meant Jonathan. A week has passed and Jonathan has been sneaking into my room often without getting caught. Most of the time we would just sit on my bed and read books, and I was sure today was just the same. I loved spending time with my mate regardless of what we do together. I felt safe and happy by his side.

Jonathan walked in with a big smile. He closed the door behind him and locked it. Good.

His hands were behind his back and he tilted his head a little bit to look at me. "Celena, come over here," he said. I looked at him with a sideways smile. What was he up to?

I slowly got out of my bed in only my shorts and a tank top and I walked up to him. I stopped just inches from him, our toes almost touching and our faces centimetres apart. My heart fluttered being so close to him and he smiled down at me.

"Close your eyes," he ordered me. I obeyed his command and he reached behind me, his fingers touching at the nape of my neck and suddenly something cool was touching my chest. "Open your eyes now," he said softly in my ear.

"Wow," I gasped looking down. I lifted a hand and my fingers brushed the thin chains of the necklace. In the middle was a beautiful blue-and-sliver round stone. I flipped the stone over and there was an area that wasn't curved. "That's where I will engrave our names on, when we are able to be together."

I looked down at the necklace he gave me and I looked up to his eyes, his beautiful chocolate brown eyes and I wrapped my arms around him, my face buried in his neck.

He returned the hug and held me. "Thank you Jonathan. It's beautiful, I love it." I said.

"I'm glad you liked the gift I made for you,"

"You... made this necklace?" I asked.

"Well..." He pulled back a little bit and scratched his head. He looked adorable when he did that. "I didn't make the necklace, but I did put the stone there for you. It was a few years ago that I found it in the forest while I was outside. It caught my eye and I kept it since then. It is yours now. A small gift from your mate," he grinned at me and I blushed, my heart skipping a beat.

He pulled me to my bed. "Now come sit with me," he said, lying down on the bed. I smiled and sat beside him, relaxing myself. We continued Tiger's Curse. By the end of Chapter 20, it was around 3 o'clock in the afternoon and Jonathan had to leave to train with his brother.

He got up from the bed and stood up. "Jonathan," I began, but he leaned down to kiss me on the lips, his warm hands cupping my face gently. I moved my head up. His warms lips sent shivers of pleasure down my body. How could such a small act affect me so much?

We hadn't kiss since the first day we met in the kitchen, and the kiss surprised me. Sure, he kissed me on the cheek and neck when we hung out in my room, but not on the lips.

It was strange yet familiar feeling at the same time. We slowly pulled apart and he pressed his forehead to mine.

One of his hands moved down my face to my chest to hold the stone necklace. "Promise me our names will be engraved on this stone."

"I promise," I whispered. I promise to keep all the promises we made.

In a flash his warm, comforting hands were off me and the room suddenly felt cold. I locked down at my stone necklace and smiled to myself.

Alpha Kris has announced all 200 pack members to eat dinner together in the large room part of the mansion. This dinner gathering was to inform every member in the pack that there will be an upcoming ball, to welcome me as their new guest and future Luna to everyone.

During dinner, everyone was loud and ate happily together. I was seated at a table with the Alpha, Luna, Jonathan and Donovan.

I looked around me. So many people. But there weren't any children, which was strange. At least back home, there were a few children around to brighten up our home.

I flattened the light pink dress I had wore to dinner and I enjoyed the rest of the night with my future family.
