I woke up at around 9 am in the morning, and though we usually ate with Alpha Kris and the family, today I ate breakfast alone.
Yesterday late at night, Alpha Kris had came to my room to inform me he had important business to do with the pack and that it would be a while before we were together again.
After I placed the dishes in the sink and washed them clean, I decided to try to find Donovan. I haven't seen him since yesterday night when we kissed. I still couldn't get over with it. Donovan may have thought it was just him and I in my room, but he didn't know Jonathan was inside as well.
And the thought of kissing Donovan in front of Jonathan made me guilty again. Even after the kiss and Jonathan and I talked, I still felt awful for doing that in front of my mate. If the roles had been reversed and I was the one hiding in the closet, watching Jonathan as he kissed another girl...
I shook my head, my heart twisting painfully just the thought of it.
As I walked down the halls of the large house, in search of Donovan, I secretly hoped I would bump into Jonathan. After 5 minutes of wandering in the house, I decided to find someone to help lead me to Donovan.
A young woman in maids clothes was walking by with a basket of clothes in her hand, and I gently tapped her shoulder to stop her.
"Um, excuse me miss? I was wondering if you could tell me where Donovan is?" I asked politely when she looked at me. She narrowed her eyes slightly but quickly masked her expression with a smile. "He is in the fighting arena."
"They have a fighting arena?" I asked in disbelief. She nodded. "They do. Unlike most packs, the members not only train outside, they also work out at the gym or in the arena."
"Can you give me the directions?" I asked. After she politely told me where it was located, I asked for her name, so the next time I saw her, it would be less awkward.
"Sophia." She answered monotone-like. We never once spoke about her clothes or her position in the pack house.
"I'm Celena Pine," I replied with a smile and left it at that. It wasn't her business to know I was getting married to the Alpha's son.
Sophia
That was her. I knew it as soon as she asked me where Donovan was.
This was the person who was stealing my mate away from me.
She was much more beautiful in so many ways. Her long, wavy brown hair was way more smooth and softer looking than mine, and she definitely had curves in all the right places. She was almost like a model. Almost.
I was jealous of her beauty and her kindness. I could already imagine her ruling our pack with Donovan. My wolf growled.
I wouldn't be surprised if Donovan actually fell for her. She was much more wealthier and probably had better manners and clothes than I did.
I moved the clothes from the basket into the laundry machine. She was probably looking for Donovan so they can spend some time together. No doubt they were even going to kiss.
Stop it, I told myself. He wouldn't do that to you, and even if he did, he would tell you and regret doing it. He doesn't have any control in the marriage, and your mate would be married to another woman anyway. Wake up, Sophia, he's not going to be with you.
I shook my head as I placed more clothes in the laundry.
He loved me. I'm sure of it. And even if he did kiss Celena Pine once or more than that behind my back, I'm sure he'll tell me and apologize. He won't turn on me. He's my mate. Mates are loyal to each other. Mates are honest too.
He wouldn't reject me for her.
He wouldn't.
