It has been a few days since Alpha Kris announced the day of the ball.

Alpha Kris and the Luna had decided to find a dress and suit that would match so Donovan and I would stand out as a couple, clear to everybody who would attend the ball.

They picked out a midnight blue suit and dress pants for Donovan, and a beautiful, sparkly dark blue dress for me. I admit they match well, but I would rather Jonathan where the suit...

I bet he would look reallll good in it, Crystal purred dreamily. I agreed.

I stood in my room and faced the long mirror in my closet. I was only in my bra and underwear, and the shining dress was laid on the couch in the middle of the closet.

The dress was sent in yesterday night and I had promised Luna Kris that I would try in the dress first thing in the morning after having breakfast.

The tailor they sent in to help measure my size did a great job, because I easily brought the dress over my head and it hugged every part of my body figure perfectly.

I just had to pull up the zipper.

I decided to call in a maid to help me.

"Thank you very much Janet," I said gratefully to the young lady. She smiled at me and touched my dress as if it were made out of gold.

"Wow," she breathed. "You are very fortunate to have a family, and have a mate--the future Alpha-- to take care of you."

"Thanks," I said, then she asked quietly, "How do you really feel about the arranged marriage?"

I kept quiet for a moment. Should I tell her?

"It's fine," I said. "Though I'm not entirely happy to be with somebody who is not my soul mate, I am happy that I am able to join two very strong packs together," It was the truth.

Janet nodded politely and continued to help me with my dress. Just then, a knock was heard at the door and Janet told me she would get it.

Even before she came back, my wolf was already smiling in happiness and a blush formed on my face even before I saw him.

Jonathan walked into the closet with a smile, and my heart fluttered when he looked over me, biting his lip.

"You may get back to your work," Jonathan said to Janet. She nodded, smiled at me and left. I wondered if she knew Jonathan and I were mates...

"You- you look beautiful," Jonathan said as he walked to me. His voice turns soft and I look down, biting my lip.

"I'm not wearing make up and my hair is a mess," I said, because it was true.

"That doesn't change how I see you," he said, his voice becoming husky as he turned me around so I faced the mirror in front of me. He stands behind me, and slowly wraps his arms around my waist.

"Are you ready for the ball tomorrow?" Jonathan mummers into my neck as he breathes in. His hands move along my sides, sending me shivering in pleasure. He opens his mouth and starts to kiss the side of my neck, and his hands around me tighten their grip, holding me in place. I tilted me head up to give him more access to that area and he growls in appreciation.

Since the first day we met, I have felt the connection between us growing stronger and stronger, and the pull I get towards him makes me want him more.

If we don't mate in a few months, our wolves would go crazy. We would go crazy.

"Well?" he said lowly into my ear. I was so lost into his work, I almost forgot his question. "Yes," I breathed, not wanting him to let go of me. He nodded and pulled back.

I look up at the mirror in front of me and he smiled. I turned around and he looked down at me with so much happiness in his eyes. "I can't believe you're mine," he said, looking down at me in a way that would make me want to wear this dress everyday.

"I am," I confirmed. "I will see you at the ball tomorrow?" I asked.

He grinned. "For sure." He took both of my hands and faced me. "Save the last dance for me, will you?" He asked hopefully.
