These are just some examples of different forms of mental illnesses, there are many more out there and they are all different. You can't always tell if somebody has one of these and making fun of them isn't funny, they aren't jokes.

I am mainly focusing on Depression, Self-harm and Suicide.

No, not all people who are depressed or self harm are "emo" and not all "emo's" are depressed or self harm. Not every self harmer has depression and not all depressed people self harm.
It isn't funny to talk about "necking" yourself or say you've been "triggered". Depression doesn't mean constant sadness, it doesn't mean the person is an attention seeker... the literal definition of Depression is as follows, "Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems." Is it acceptable to make fun of people in wheelchairs? What about someone with cancer or another serious physical illness? No? Then why do you think it is acceptable to make fun of any other illness, mental or not?

You might say "oh, but people in wheelchairs and people with cancer can't help it and physical illnesses can kill people" really? Do you think that people choose to be depressed? And depression can, more likely than not, lead to self-harm of some kind. Then, it is a physical illness as well as a mental illness and people can die from it, ever heard of suicide? Of course you have but, it's funny right? I mean, everyone laughs when you make those jokes about "necking", "committing" or being "triggered", don't they? Have you ever noticed those people who aren't laughing or those who fake laugh? Do they not count to you? How would you feel if one of them had committed suicide soon after you made a joke? Would that be funny? No? Why not? I mean, it was funny a little while ago wasn't it?

I What if you noticed at the end of winter, when it starts to get too hot for a jumper and your friend, the one that's always happy and laughs at all of your "jokes" refuses to take their jumper off because they're afraid of someone seeing their scars? The ones they had been ashamed of. The ones they had from trying to feel something.

I don't expect anyone to read this or change themselves, people don't really change, they just get really good at lying and hiding their true emotions. But, beliefs can change and, if you still think this is all a big joke... I'm BEGGING you to send me a private message and please explain to me what exactly I'm missing. I guess I just don't understand the joke.
