Chapter 2

I woke up with a massive head ache. I'm never drinking again.

I only had two hours of sleep until my alarm went off. I set an alarm for 6 o'clock in the morning so I could go on my run before it gets to hot out.

Usually running gets rid of my head aches, but I've never had a head ache like this!

I got my running clothes out of my drawers and went into the bathroom to change. After I changed I brushed my teeth and I took notice of my eye. It didn't look as bad as I thought it would be, but it hurt like a bitch. I also took notice at the black and blue mark on my neck. Harry had given me a hickey. Shit, I'm in trouble. I would put make up to cover it up; it would be a waste of time because after I run it will be smeared from all of the sweat. Hopefully, I'll be back before my mom or Dave wake up.

I went down to the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal and watched TV. After I was done eating, I rinsed my mouth with mouth wash, got my iPod and headphones, and then went out for my run.

I walked down my street, heading to the beach. Ethan told me that there is a concrete path for people to run or ride their bikes. Ethan usually runs every morning too, but I think he is hung over.

I finally got to the path and started running. I could get used to doing this every day. The cool morning breeze flowing through my hair and the breath taking view of the beach. This is the perfect running spot.

I put up my music on full blast. Music helps when I run. All of my songs give me my pace. I don't like to run fast the whole time or run slow the whole time, so when an upbeat song is on that’s when I go full speed and when a down low song is on, I do a light jog.

My headphone fell out of my ear while I was running. I hate when this happens because I don't like to stop.

"Amber!" I heard someone shout my name from behind.

I turned around to see Liam running toward me.

"Hey Liam!" I said, waving at him and putting my headphones in my pocket. When he caught up with me, I continued to do a light jog.

"Why are you up so early?" Liam asked me.

"I like to run every morning," I answered.

"Oh nice! Ethan and I run every morning, but I texted him to see if he was coming but he isn't feeling to good," Liam said.

"I think I heard him throwing up when I left. He's really hung over!" I exclaimed.

"He's usually perfectly fine! I'm surprised you’re not hung over! You drank a lot last night!" Liam said laughing.

"I guess I have a stronger stomach then him," I said.

"I guess so. You should run with us every morning," Liam suggested.

"I hope you'll be able to keep up with me," I smirked.

"Ethan and I would totally cream you in a race," Liam said.

"Oh really?" I said with attitude.

"Yeah!" Liam replied

"Prove it!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, ummm," Liam said thinking then pointing to our finish line, "Who ever gets to the water pump first wins."

"This is going to be easy," I said.

"On 3. 1..." Liam said starting the countdown.

"2..." I said.

"3!" Liam exclaimed.
