Happy Birthday to our one and only Pambansang Bae, Alden Richards.
(Alden)
There's a lot to do today. Dad is in the US right now with mom for their anniversary trip. All the work that he's suppose to be doing landed on my desk plus mine. Well, good thing Kuya Alric will be here tomorrow after lunch. Although he's an architect, he took classes for business management to help him out for his own business. He now owned his own construction company, it's more on designs and buildings, he contracts with the biggest hardware store in the country and some outside the country, like Spain, Morocco, Japan and Portugal. He employs most of the best engineer in the country. He have a branch here in Manila but his main office is in Japan.
Back to Dad's company, yes, that's right, dad's company. I don't have my own. I work for my dad. But when dad is not available, Kuya Alric works for me. Our Princess Allyn is both working on advertising side of dad's company and Kuya's company's because she owns her own advertising agency. Not only that, she also have a modeling agency. She's such a fashionista. And you know what? She's good at it. I don't know but I don't feel left out on this business owning thing. I am not in a rush to own my own company. I just love to work under dad. It doesn't give that much sense of responsibility, but that doesn't mean I'm irresponsible. I just don't feel like it at the moment. I just want to know more about the business and it's employees in the middle to the bottom part of the food chain.
I want to know more about our employees. What they want. What they need. What's their strong suits. What's their weaknesses. What they're capable of. How they work under pressure. What makes then tick. To know when to ask for help if needed. I want them to approach me like another employee and not as the boss's son and they can express their issue and of the company's needs. It's not that I want to be the cool boss, I just wanted to run this company where everybody is not intimidated by anyone especially the higher management.
We are going to have a huge conference, it's more of team building and all departments in all levels are invited to attend. As per my sister's "recommendation", I have to meet up with the owners of Just by the Bench, it's a coffee/pastry shop located in the heart of Cubao. I really don't want to add any other things to my busy schedule since dad is not here, they won't be back in two weeks, but I have no choice. Aaaaaahhhh! This is giving me a headache. As what I've heard the owners are women, it's not that I am against women but most of the women I spoke to, are either full of themselves or just wanna hook-up. I am not into that. If I do want to meet a girls, I would find her myself.
My meeting is in two hours and I have to leave now. Traffic in Edsa is way too much to handle around this time of the day. I should have ask for a noon time meeting at least it would be lunch and everyone's either in their offices or would rather be somewhere there's TV to watch the KalyeSerye of Eat Bulaga that everybody is going crazy about. Well, since I had an emergency meeting with my event's manager and head team builders, I took a later time, 2:00 pm. Isn't that wonderful? Isn't it awesome? My secretary came in.
"Ivy, would you please cancel all remaining appointments, meetings and whatever you have later today for me, move it around for the Thursday and Friday and maybe, Saturday. I will take the whole day Wednesday to do the things that I've been meaning to do for a while. Just give my Wednesday appointment to Kuya Alric. He'll be here tomorrow after lunch." I said to my secretary.
"Okay, Alden. Would you want me to shadow Alric on Wednesday?" She asked.
"That would be a good idea since you know some of the stuff he needs to know for tomorrow, take an early lunch, when Kuya arrives, we three need to be in the conference room to orient him with all the documents needed for the Wednesday's meetings and some of the Thursday's and Friday's. We'll split those two days. Would that be okay? Or you and your husband are going somewhere Wednesday?" I asked.
