"Maine, I really like you. I really do." I said. I leveled myself to where she's sitting. I held her hand, I want her to know that I am serious and sincere about what I'm feeling towards her.

I looked at her. I love to stare at her. They said that it is rude to stare but I don't care, I want to memorize all her facial curves, especially her lips. It's not thick but it is full and luscious. I want to taste those lips. I want to own it. I want her to be mine. Am I making her uncomfortable? Alden, take it easy boy. I thought. She's so fragile and I want to be the one to take care of her, to hold her, to love her, but there's no future for us, I love my dad, but I hate him because of what he wants me there do. If she's some other chick, I could care less, but she's Maine.

We both straightened up as we heard a knock on the door. Ugh! I will kill whoever is on the the other side of the door. I will definitely be going to murder someone this instance. I leaned my forehead on her forehead. I know she sensed the frustration coming out of me. I took a deep breath while I am still holding her. I don't want to let her go. I just don't. Then another knock came.

"Who is it!" I snarled. I felt her body stiff. "I'm sorry, Maine. I didn't mean to startle you." I added lovingly.

"It's okay." She said. I know she was caught off guard when I raised my mad, frustrated voice at the disturbance behind that closed door.

"Excuse me. Don't go anywhere." I said. I gazed at her with a sweet smile like it's the last time I'll see her beautiful face, tantalizing eyes and those luscious lips of hers and kissed her forehead.

I strode through the living room to the door. I took a deep breath, unlock the door and guess who's at the door.

"What are you doing here? Why are you here?" I ask in the most annoying tone you could have ever heard.

"What's with the questions, bro? I am here because I need to talk to you." He said. It's a puzzle why he's here. He should be home with his wife.

"Aren't you suppose to be with your wife? What time is it now? Why are you here?" I asked him. He used to come whatever time he wanted to before and it was fine with me, but not anymore. Not now. Not tomorrow. Not ever.

"I just need to clear my mind and this is the only place I know I can." He said looking passed through me. I saw a glint of surprise in his eyes.

"Maine?!" He said almost in a whisper. He pushed the door open and before I could do or say something, he walked past me.

"Don't you dare touch her!" Me and Nikko yelled at the same time. I looked at him and he looked at me. It stopped Tony on his tracks.

"Don't you dare get close to her." Nikko reiterated up the stairs. I came close to Maine and hug her by the waist. I know he was appalled to see Maine and Nikko in the same place together, let alone in my unit together with me.
