"Nay?" Alden showed up at the door."Oh, Alden. How long you've been there?" She asked hastily.
"I just got in. Sorry I'm late. I finished few paperworks so I don't have to be in tomorrow. I want to stay here all day just in case she wakes up." He said looking at her so lovingly.
"Hijo, she woke up already, just a few moment ago. She just feel back asleep not too long ago." She said in an off way. Alden sense something is wrong.
"Nay, what happen? Is Maine okay? What's going on?" Alden asked. Worry written across his face. He's eyes are fidgeting.
"Oh, this is nothing, hijo. She just had a bad dream." She said trying to avoid his gaze.
"Bad dream? About what?" He asked. She pulled him out of the room. She's going to tell him what Maine had said.
"Nay, you're scaring me. Why do I have a feeling that this is not good." He said trying to tough it up. This may be a simple thing in life but for him this is big deal. Anything about Maine is a big deal.
"Hijo, in a way it is not good. Somehow she knew who you are. She said she dreamt that you and Alden Richards are the same. That she saw you talking to Tatay and that you ask his blessings. How did that happen that her dream was spot on? How?" Concern and worry can be heard on her voice.
Alden held his head down. He doesn't know what to think and feel at the moment. Was anybody there aside from him and Mr. Mendoza when they talked yesterday at their home in his library? Was there? He wants to know.
"Nay, you said somehow Maine knew that the man she's arranged to and me are one and the same, right?" He made sure that's what he heard she said.
"Yes, hijo." She replied.
"Did she say more?" He curiously asked.
"All she said is that you and him are one and the same and you lied to her. That you knew all about it but did not tell her. That's all she said between tears. Alden, I am more worried about her now than before. What do you think is going to happen now?" She admitted worriedly. She's a mom, she hurt more when any of her children are hurting.
"I don't know. Nay. I think what we can do is explain to her how long I've know about it and how I found out about it. And why I didn't find her as soon as I found out. Why did I wait?" His head is hurting now.
This is worst than her running away. This is worst than looking and waiting for her to come back. Is this the time that he's been fearing of? So much for surprises. He felt like any moment now the ground will just eat him alive. This is too much to handle at the moment. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, dialed a number and waited for the other person to answer.
"Hello." Sagot ng kabilang linya.
"Bro, I need your help. I need to see you at the hospital's parking lot in half an hour." He said.
"Is everything okay?" The person on the other line asked.
"No, maybe... I don't know. It is not looking good at all." He pulled a deep sigh. "She knows." He said in a defeated tone.
"How?" He asked.
"I'll tell you when you get here. Please bring Ivy and please call Sam and ask him if he can bring Patty with him. I need all your to help me, please." He said almost begging or let us say, really begging his friend.
Tony may be Maine's ex but he knows that Tony knows Maine more than he does and Tony became his coach on all this with the help of his wife, Ivy. He remembered when Tony went to Bacolod as soon as Ivy found out where she's at after he left his dad's company at that time. He gave up on all of it that moment up until his friends pushed him to go to Bacolod where Maine is and Tony made sure that he gets to Maine. He had Sam to go with him.
