Owtor's Nowt: Thank you very much. As of now i am between hotels and motels since I am on a semi-cross country trip to see my daughter graduate from the Air Force. "Hi, Maine." He greeted me.

"What are you doing here? Who's with you? Is everybody here? Do they know I'm here?" I tried playing the twenty questions game to ease my nerves. I will be having a heart attack soon. His sudden presence made me so nervous, not only me, but also everyone around me.

"What kind of questions are those? Is that how you greet your visitor?" I missed him but I am scared at the same. How did he know that I am here. Nobody knows this place.

"It's not that... I didn't mean it to come out like that. All I'm asking is why are you here?" Oh, God. Please help me.

"Hey, Bro. How are you doing?" Now I am really dead.

"Maine, why didn't you tell me that you guys are together. Alden, I trusted you!" He's now raising his voice.

"Bro, I tried calling you. You changed your number. I stayed at Maine's condo unit for a week before I came here. I wanted to let you know that I found where she's at. You know what, let's go inside. This is not the right place to talk." I hope Alden help me out like he said this morning.

"Okay. Okay. Everybody go inside. What would the neighbors say and think if you are all here discussing family matter. You are on the side of the road where everybody are looking at you. There's a lot of nosy people around. Come on. Get inside. Kids now-a-days." Manang Josie finally spoke up. I gave her a nod of thank you and smiled at her.

We all went inside. Sam drove my car to park it in the driveway. Mamang went ahead with Milz and all the things we bought from the market. Alden is on my left and Kuya Nikko on my right. Of course, I would be the one putting myself in this difficult situation. I did this. I didn't tell my brother that...

"Maine, are you okay?" I didn't realize Alden was staring at me this whole time. He assisted me to sit in one of the love seat in the living room across where my brother sat down.

"Maine, I missed you." My brother was looking at me with displeasure. I felt more guilty because of what I did.

"I miss you, too, Kuya, but I am not going home. I am staying right where I'm at, Kuya." I said with determination.

"Maine, Nanay is somewhat okay. I felt that Nanay somehow knew that you are okay, she's not asking much but Tatay is a different story, he's really worried about you." He sincerely said.

"I miss them so much, too Kuya, but I really do not want to go home. Not now. Not anymore." I held on Alden's arm who's sitting close next to me.

"Why not? Maine, you have a responsibility to Tatay." He said. The mention of the word responsibility made my inside churn. Anger is rising from the pit of my stomach. This frustration is hitting me hard it made me stand up.

"Kuya Nikko, do you really believe that I have a responsibility to Tatay? What about tatay's responsibility to make sure that his children will be happy. Ate Nikki is happy because she chose who she wants. You. You have Ate Cyrene and you're happy. Why is it not your responsibility? Why is it not Ate Nikki's? Why is it mine? Kuya, I love Alden. He proposed to me this morning and I accepted it. I know I am doing things out of character and you may say this is not me, but let's face it, Tatay said that the business is doing okay.
