PRESENT date at Slinkee's.
It's Thursday andeverybody is meeting everybody. Sam arrived at Slinkee's first. Allyn is there already, fixing things. It's a private party. Just for her Kuya's friends. That's why she's making it perfect. Finally, Patricia got in.
"Hey, babe! You're early!" Patty beamed.
"Oh hi, babe. Thank God you're here, Allyn is driving me nuts. She's a beast." He said laughing. Allyn gave him a dagger look.
"Whatever, Kuya Sam. You just don't have a sense of style. Ate Patty, will you please help me with this, please, Kuya Sam is just... whatever." Allyn teased.
"Hahaha! Okaaayyy.... Anyway, what is this get together all about? Is your brother coming home?" Sam and Allyn looked at each other. It's time to let Patricia in on this little secret they've been trying to keep for quite sometime.
"Ate Pat, I need you to sit down." She guided them to an area where nobody can see them right away. She's also dramatic, did you know that? "Jeffrey, will you please take over? We still have at least an hour, ok?" Her assistant just nod and went on.
"Yes, Miss." Is all his answer to her.
"Okay. What is this all about?" Patty asked.
"Kuya Alden's been back in the Philippines for a month nth now." Allyn said short and sweet.
"Wait... What? He's been home and no one told us about it? Does Maine knows?" She asked, somewhat ticked off. Allyn shook her head.
"That I don't know. Kuya Alden strictly instructed me and Kuya Sam not to tell anyone about him being home. He wants to surprise all of you and Ate Maine." She explained.
"Sam you knew about this and you didn't tell me?" Oh now he's in trouble.
"Ate Pat, do not blame Kuya Sam. He wanted to tell you but Kuya told him not, too. I couldn't even tell Kuya Alric that Kuya's back home." She held Pat on the shoulder before she could think of walking out of there.
"Babe, I swear, I wanted to tell you about it, you know me, I can't keep a secret, but Alden made me promise not to. You know how hard it is to keep it in. I was boiling inside. I'm irritated all the time. I can't even tell Maine even when I had the chance to tell her. You know Alden, it's hard to tell when he's in the mood or not." He truthfully divulged.
Trisha felt bad of how she acted towards him a minute ago. She respected Alden's request and there's nothing she really can do about it. As much as she wanted to be in the loop. It's still up to Alden and not Sam.
"So what is his plan? What is this get together all about?" She ask.
"That we do not know. Kuya strictly told me to invite everyone, including Ate Maine. I am not sure what he's trying to do. I think he just misses everyone." Allyn iterated.
"I hope that's all, because if he is going to do what I think He's going to do. He'll be heartbroken." She absentmindedly voiced out.
"What do you mean by 'he'll be heartbroken'?" Allyn asked.
"Lyn, I think Maine has moved on. We haven't met him yet but I think she is seeing someone new. I don't know how long she been seeing this guy but they celebrated their monthsary a couple of days ago." Allyn is now confused. Sam was just sitting there not saying a word. His face is so serious.
Now this is a problem. Two people who are so in love in the past will met again tonight, one had moved on and the other one still hanging on. Out of the three of them, Allyn is the most uneasy one, somehow she knew that this get together is for all his friends to be the witness of whatever he's planning to do and especially for Maine. In Patricia's mind; Allyn is here, she organized this get together, closed private party, oh yeah, there's something more to this than just being a simple 'I Miss You All' get together. In Sam's point of view? This is a 'disastrous get together' that will be witnessed by everybody. He bent his head down and lightly shook it side to side. You can hear Patty sighing and you can see Allyn fidgeting.
