"Alden. what happen?" I asked him. Maine is shaking and crying hard. Why is she in his car? Where is her car? I pushed the thoughts away. There might be a good reason as to why. She looks scared. Her hands are cold.

"I don't know. There were three guys smashing her rear window when I got there. I wasn't sure it was her at first 'til I get closer to her vehicle. And she's been crying since then." He made a pause. "I'll park the car. See you tomorrow." He nod and left.

I watched him get in his car, rolled away and turned the corner of the building and disappeared. I wanted to wait for him so I could thank him for finding my sister. I don't know him yet. I don't t known him at all but his name and where he lives. I have a good feeling about this guy. If only there's a chance for them, I like him for Maine. But the chances are nothing to nothing. I dislike Tatay right now. Why Maine? I don't want it to be me or Nikki but I really don't like it to be Maine either. Why did Tatay do this and decided like it's one of his business transactions.

He hasn't come back. He may have taken the stairs by now. I can sense that something has happened between them during the ride from the time Alden found her to the time they pulled up in front of the building. I would like to know what it is, but I'd rather not.

"I am so sorry Maine." I voiced out my thoughts.

"Sorry for what Kuya?" She asked. What am I going to tell her? Sorry for what dad put you, for the third time, in this stupid predicament. I wanted to tell her so bad that she can turn her back from the arrangement. She doesn't have to. She does have a choice, does she?

"Sorry for not being there for you tonight. I should have went with you. If only my car wasn't in the mechanic shop." I lied.

"It's okay, Kuya. It was my fault for what had happen. I should've just waited for Jing tomorrow or I could have just come home and called her instead. I'm sorry I gave you a scare." She said still sobbing. Her crying and sobbing and sniffling have more reason than just what had happened. And I think I know Alden is somewhat involved in it. My poor sister. What can I do to make this better? There should be something that I can do, right?

"Come on, Maine. Let's go upstairs." I pulled her lightly. She moved and stop. She looked back. I know what she's doing and I know who she's looking for.

"What about Alden, Kuya?" She asked looking at me, begging to wait for him. There's something in her eyes that tells me what I need to know. Now I can really say... Poor, poor, poor Maine. I felt a pinch in my heart for my little sister. Nikki have the choice and I was able to choose mine but Maine can't. She can't.

"He went ahead. Let's go Maine. It's a little chilly down here. We'll call him when we get to your unit, okay? But first, we need you upstairs and you need to take a shower and catch some Z's. You need a good night's rest." I said.

I need to talk to Nikki. There should be another way to help Maine out of this situation. There should be. This is the arrangement I think she'll never be able to get out of. You may ask me why am I so adamant about this? Why I want her out of this? One reason and one reason only... MAINE DESERVES HER OWN HAPPINESS. MAINE DESERVES HER OWN FOREVER. Just like my parents, just like Nikki, just like me.
