I found a picture of us
I was nine and you were seven

You had such a breath taking smile

What happened to the little girl
That drempt of doing the impossible

That would hide behind
Her mom  when she was shy

That would look at me
Like I was your protector

Or whenever you wanted to smile

But you don't smile as much anymore
And the things that do make you smile

Isn't who you really are

I miss that little girl
That believed in herself

That she could do anything

I'm sorry
That I couldn't protect you this time

I just want to see you smile
Smile like you used to

You deserve to smile
