We didn't head to the place the creature had transformed Crystal first. We made a little side trip to the hospital where Bella was recovering. We hid all of the weapons under our seats and in the trunk and raced into the hospital. We were right on time since visiting hours were over in 20 minutes. That was all I needed. I raced to Bella's room with a smile on my face expecting to see her looking even better than last time. I was wrong. I froze outside of her room door and looked in through the window. She was worse. Way, way worse. Her face was a sickly white and black veins protruded out of her small neck and crawled up to her cheeks. She was hooked up with a bunch of wires and tubes and her heart rate that showed on the machine next to her was inhumanly slow. Doctors crowded around her bed with nurses writing down observations like she was some sort of lab experiment. I gritted my teeth and my hands gripped into fists. I'll show those bastards. I tried the door knob but the door was locked, so I then proceeded to punching and kicking the door since knocking was way too mainstream. Tasha tried to stop me but she gave up to avoid being kicked away in the process. A doctor opened the door and closed it behind him.

"I'm sorry miss but are you related to the victim?"

"That's my little sister!"

"I'm afraid to tell you that your sisters condition has gotten substantially worse." I was hit with what felt like a sledgehammer to the heart. It took me a while to find my voice, but when I did it came out shaky and uneven.

"What do you mean?"

"We've been able to keep her in a stable condition but we're not sure if she will last much longer. Her symptoms are unusual. They're the closest thing to alien we've seen in a long time. Her heart rate is slower than that of any healthy or normal human being. It's fascinating that she's been able to hold up so long." a smile tugged at my lips. Always been a little fighter hasn't she? I thought to myself.
"At this point," the doctor continued, "there's about a 60 percent chance that she will live. I'm sorry I cannot give you better news-"

"That's fine," I said, "I think that's good enough for me." I pushed passed him and entered her room.
"Everyone out!" I yelled at the other nurses and doctors examining her and writing notes.

"Excuse me miss," one of them said, "unless you have the authorization to be in this room we would ask that you please leave." I walked towards him slowly and got close to his face.

"I'm her big sister. I think I have more authority  to be in this room than anyone else. So do yourself a favor and get out." I waited, testing him. When he didn't move I took his clipboard, snapped it in half on my knee and threw it out of the door that Tasha held open.
"Do I have to repeat myself sir?" He waved everyone behind him out of the room and I watched as they all scrambled to get their things and exit the room. I ignored them and knelt by Bella's side, taking her cold little hand in mine and kissing it gently. "I'm going to go get you some revenge sweetheart. Hang in there and keep fighting. You can make it through this, and when you do, I'm throwing you a big party with ponies and balloons with pretty colors and lights everywhere." I watched as her body remained completely still. A tear slid down my cheek and as I got ready to leave, I felt a small squeeze on my hand. Her eyes were closed but her lips were moving.

"Daija..." she croaked. Her voice was so quiet I could barely hear her.

"Yeah I'm here. I'm right here."

"Will dewe be a unicown and wainbows?" I smiled at her difficulty to pronounce her 'r's.

"Yes. There will be."

"Awesome." My smile widened and I watched as her body went still again.

"I love you Bella," I whispered as I kissed her forehead and walked out of the door. I pushed past the doctors that tried to ask me questions. A bunch of things like:
