Too Long - Deltoonz

Cartoonz's P.O.V.

I took too long and now he's gone. He's gone and I'll never get him back. I love him so much but now I'll never hear him tell me it back.

"Hey Cartoonz, you suck but I guess I'll be your friend," Delirious laughs. His laughter is so contagious and I found myself laughing over his stupid words.

"Oh shut it. Everyone knows you're paying me," I tell him.

"Oh fuck you," he laughs. His amazing laugh got me to laugh harder. The funniest thing came to mind and I blurted it out without thinking.

"When and where?" Silence follows me statement.

H2ODelirious has left the chat

I should have noticed the signs but I didn't. I'm so utterly stupid. I wish I would've noticed.

"Hey Cartoonz?" Delirious asks me as we watch a movie. I yawn knowing it was no longer night but now early morning. Stupid puppy eyes.

"What's up crazy?" I ask. He turned and looked at me. He starred at me before responding.

"Nothing," he says. I shrug and we turn back to watch the movie.

Even when he told me, I didn't notice. I am a terrible human being. What did he see in me anyways?

"Cartoonz, we need to talk," Delirious tells me sternly as he enters my room. I cock an eyebrow at how weird he was behaving. No way was being this serious for nothing.

"What's up crazy?" I ask as I make room for him on my bed. He sits down next to me and stares at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Then, he looks at me, all confidence gone and tears pricking his eyes.

"I fell in love with my best friend and I don't know how to tell them," Delirious tells me, sadness lacing his words.

"Tell him or her. What's the worst that can happen?" I advise knowing Delirious is Bisexual (TEAM BISEXUAL FTW!! sorry...I'll go)

"I'm going to go," Delirious says he throws me a smile, "thanks!"

"Good chat," I chuckle as Delirious leaves.

I turn and grab my phone off the charger. I turn it on and look at the last texts between us.

D - Hey, can I come over

C - Sure

D - Cool. I'll head over now

C - See you soon

D - <3

His last words were a heart...he was coming to see me.

"Turn on the news!" Evan yells as I flip to the said channel. My heart froze. Time stopped. A tear slipped out of my eyes. No...

"Jonathan Denis was hit by a drunk driver named Grandue Felix. He died slowly as firemen tired desperately to get the male out. Their efforts were not worth it and poor Jonathan died. Poor soul. Grandue died on impact," a nice lady reports.

He was coming to see me. I want to tell Delirious I love him but I am too late.
