for the last time,
I hope you enjoy this chapter x

"COME ON, KIDS, DADDY is getting the skates. Let's sit down." I take Lily and Quinton over to the benches by the ice rink and sit them down. They're all dressed up in their puffy jackets and beanies and their noses are red. Luke comes back with our skates and he gets Lily's on while I get Quin's on.
The twins are so excited to ice skate. They were begging us about it for months, and one of their birthday presents was a little certificate I made saying we would take them. Luke stands Lily up and she wobbles for a second. "It's hard to stand, daddy." She pouts. Quinton, however, is up and walking around us aimlessly. "Let's go, let's go, let's go!"
A month or so after the concert about six years ago, Luke and I turned in our science project. My eighteenth birthday was a few weeks later, and then we were off to college. We both ended up staying in our town, moved in together and got married a year later, and had our twins shortly after. Quinton and Lily are five and the center of our world.
We get the babies on their skates and Luke takes Lily's hand and my hand and I take Quinton's. Getting them on the rink is a struggle, but as soon as Luke and I start skating, they have the time of their lives. Lily gets the concept pretty quickly, while I have to work with Quin a little on it.
"Isn't it so nice to be home, babe?" Luke smiles at me. The guys and their band had really hit it off after high school. They started touring for a while and I and the boys's girlfriends went along with. Lil was included. Her and Ashton actually had a little baby girl before Luke and I had the twins. Her name is Rosie May. Little Rosie gets along quite well with the twins.
When I had the babies(funny story, they were born in a Swiss hospital in a small town close to the border of France), the tour was almost done, so we were able to spend some time alone at home with the kids. 5 Seconds of Summer, popularly nicknamed 5sos, were touring pretty much every year. They are currently working on another album and have been playing stadium shows for about two years. You could say I was a proud wife.
"Extremely nice." I hold Quinton's little hand tightly so he doesn't fall all over the place. Lily, on the other hand, is busy trying to beg her daddy to chase her around the rink. That little girl is fearless.
Luke finally agrees to a high-speed chase, and I look at little Quin. He couldn't look more like Luke. His bright blue eyes and blond hair are just like his daddy's. He has my nose and lips, but his cheeks are Luke's also. Speaking of which, his cheeks and nose are red from the cold. He looks up at me with a little pout.
"Mama, it's cold and I'm bad at skating," he whines. I pull to the side with him and kneel down so I'm face to face with him. Meanwhile, Luke and Lily are speeding by. Quin looks even sadder.
"Hey, bugaboo, you just need some practice!" I kiss his chubby little cheeks and fix his beanie. "Come on, baby, let's teach you how to ice skate."
Hours and a few little tears later, the kiddos are worn out. Lily fell on her bum a few times after the game of "Daddy Chases Lily," but she was okay. After I taught him, Quinton is a star skater.
We load the twins up in the car and I promise the two, and Luke, that I'll make some hot coco when we get home. Luke drives and I watch the world go by through the window.
We get home and the kids are completely out. "Well, looks like only one baby needs hot coco." I giggle and help Luke carry them in. We get them all changed into their animal onesies and tucked in their warm beds. Luke and I kiss their foreheads and head back into our room.
"Our anniversary is coming up." Luke comments while I change into pajamas myself. I nod and tie my hair up, "Indeed it is." I think of our beautiful wedding on the Sicilian beach and smile to myself. I turn on my heel and climb in bed with him. "What did you think you wanted to do?"
A playful smile creeps on his lips. "Well, I was thinking we should definitely try having that third baby you always talked about." A blush covers my cheeks and I roll my eyes. "Mhmm, of course you were thinking that."
Luke gently grabs my waist and brings me closer to him. He covers my face and neck with sweet kisses. "Thank God for Ms. Mateo, huh? She was a mean teacher but she set us up. I owe her a lot." He chuckles. I smile a little and kiss his lips. "You got that right."
"I love you, Olivia." He pushes a stray hair away from my face and tucks it behind my ear. He's such a sappy nutball. "I love you t-"
I'm broken off by a kiddo crying in their room. We both laugh a little and Luke starts getting up, "I got this one, baby." He trots off to go play Super Daddy.
Life has never been so wonderful.
