Sun fills the room from the windows. The thin white curtains don't do much, but I'm sure Luke can sleep through it, as he does with storms.

Luke.

It went unnoticed until that second that I'm in Luke's room, in his bed. I try to roll over, discomfort aching my body. But then I realize what position I'm in.

I am pressed up against Luke, my head on his bare chest. His arms are tightly around me and our legs are tangled.

It feels like my whole body blushes. I try to wriggle out of his grasp, but he pulls me closer and holds me tighter. I can barely breathe.

"Luke," I say, trying to wake him up. He just whines. I poke his side a few times, making him squirm. He releases me for a second and I sit up.

Luke just snuggles with the blanket. I sigh, thankful he isn't holding me down. I look over at the clock on his night stand. 11:22.

Holy crap.

I get up, trying to be careful not to wake him up. I tiptoe to the door and almost get it open when-

"Olivia?" Luke yawns. I look over at him. He sitting up now, lazily scratching his head. His hair is flat and messy and his voice is the same as last night.

"Uh, hi, uhm, I'm just going back to my room, I should get home, y'know," I say awkwardly. I don't know if he remembers how he had me in a choke-hold a few minutes ago, but I don't bring it up for my sake.

"Oh, uh... Okay..." He says, sounding either caught off guard or disappointed. I frown, urging him on. "I- just, thought maybe, you were staying for breakfast..." He clarifies. Though it doesn't exactly convince me.

"It's almost lunch time, Luke," I say, humor and laughter in my voice. He smiles at that. "Yeah, I know.. So you won't stay for brunch then?" He asks, pulling out a new word to describe the late breakfast. I sigh.

"As much as I'd love to, I really have to get home. I never stay this late at Lil's and my parents don't know where I am..." I say. He nods, his blue eyes looking a little duller than normal. What's up with him?

I exit the room, not knowing what else to say. I cross the hall and start putting my things away. I also make the bed just to be nice.

"Are you making the bed?"

I look over my shoulder. Luke(who's shirtless in his boxers, for the record) is watching me, seeming amused. I roll my eyes and get back to the bed. "Yes, I don't want to be rude,"

He just laughs. "That isn't rude, Olivia, that's normal." He says. I find it odd how much he calls me by my full name. It was never 'Olivia' before. It's always been 'Livi'. And it's weird hearing it, but I can't say that I don't like it. It's different, no one calls me Olivia, really.

"Well haven't you learned by now that I'm not normal?" I tease. He chuckles. "Mmm, good point."

"Did you come in here to say something or just watch me make the bed?" I ask, laughing a bit. It sounds like realization hits him.

"Oh, oh, yeah, uhm, I was going to say... Uhm... Thanks.. For... Staying over, y'know... I mean, you should be thanking me, 'cause, it's my house.. But don't, uhm, I'm not saying you should, I mean-"

"Get to the point!" I groan. His cheeks turn pink and he laughs. "Okay, okay,"

"What I mean to say, is, I had a good time with you last night... Wow, uhm, that's what she said.."

"Lucas, you just ruined a perfectly good moment," I whine. He was being so sweet, which is something you never see with Lucas Robert Hemmings. His hands cover his face.

"I'm sorry," he says, mimicking my whiny tone. "I'm not good at trying to be nice,"

"Why are you even being nice to me in the first place?" I ask. He blinks.

"B-Because, I thought... Look, Olivia, when I said that I hated you but I didn't like you.. I do like you. I-I mean, a-as a friend, and all, but, like, I feel like we have to hate each other. Y'know? Like, I don't like it... So I'm trying to be nice..." He explains. I just stare at him, eyes wide and jaw hanging open.

"D-Did I do something wrong??" He asks, panicked. I shake my head and snap out of it. "N-No, I just.. I wasn't expecting to ever... I never thought you'd not hate me. It's just a really big shock, I," I say, unsure of myself. I don't know what to think.

"I'm sorry, I.. I shouldn't have said anything," Luke says. He looks so embarrassed. He goes to walk away but I catch his arm.

"Luke, no, I didn't mean it like that.. It's just, going from hating each other for... The better part of our lives.. To just being friends.. It's a lot. Just give me time to handle it and figure everything out. Okay?" I ask. He nods.

I let him go and close the door to change and make myself look presentable. I look like utter crap in the morning.

After I manage to tame my tangled mess of hair, I grab my things and go downstairs. Liz is down there, making food.

"You heading out?" She asks. I nod. "Thank you so much for letting me stay. It means a lot." I smile. She smiles back at me.

"No problem, darling. You can stay over any time you want." She says. I thank her again and go to the door.

"Oh, Olivia?" Luke calls from the top of the staircase. I look at him. "What?"

"Your shirt rode up a lot last night. The pink lace looks good on you." He says with a wink. My face turns completely red and I hurry out. I hear Liz yelling at him.

He's such a pervert.
