The Official Meeting-

Chapter 3

~ Chad P.O.V. ~

My head booms like drums and my mouth feels as dry as a desert. I want water now. I throw my hand onto my table but instead of grabbing a bell, to call a servant to bring me water, my hand slams onto a hard surface. Pain shoots through my hand. I flicker my eyes open and hold back a scream.

My eyes start to adjust to the brightness. I sit up and examine the unfamiliar room. This is not my room, this isn't even the ship. The mattress I was laying on was placed on the right of a swinging door, and in front of me near the wall was a fireplace that had a big black pot hanging ontop of it.

In the far left corner of the fireplace was a large crooked shelf. It was filled with clutter of jars that had many things inside of it. Herbs and even eggs. A large wooden table was placed in the middle of the square room, around it had two wooden chairs which matched the drunkenly-made table.

This place, had three big windows, which was lit up the room. The whole building was made of wood. The walls where logs and the floor was clean and smooth light brown. This building looked like it was built by hand. It even had few cracks through the walls and the windows wasn't sheilded with glass. It had wooden loose shutters and the shelf that stood looked like it could collapse at any second. I groan.

Where am I? My headache becomes 20x worse at that thought.

I glance around and notice that the fireplace had smoke coming from the dark grey ash. Someone lives here and must have took me to their home.

But why? I frown and suddenly remember the terrible scene. It was raining and I fell into the sea. My heart sinks, Father and the crew might not have reached land. I gulp down the hard lump stuck in my throat, and squeeze my eyes shut. My sadness quickly disappears and anger grows within instead.

We shouldnt have went in the first place! Its Father's fault! That mission of his is stupid. I cannot believe why I actually agreed to go with him.

I suck in a breath and stand up to turn to the swinging door. I swing it open and get welcomed by the warm sun. I groan loudly and cover my eyes with my hand. All I could see was miles of trees. Stupid trees. They were every where. Vines connected the trees together which made it hard for me to pass through them. It looks like nobody lives here. But that doesn't explain the smoke coming from the ash....

Other than that I hate being outside. I just want to go crawl into my cool bed and just get whatever I want, whenever I want. But I know, that doesnt happen in the real world. Father has told me that over and over.

A figure interupts my thoughts, I freeze in place and turn my head to see it shift through the trees. He stood a couple inches shorter than me, wearing a black robe. The robe covered his face, making it hard for me to see him, and it stopped at his knees. I only got to step a couple feet towards the man when he suddenly attacks me.

He glides behind me and twists my arm behind my back making it burn. But even though he did hurt me a bit, this guy was clearly weaker than me. I untwisted my arm and pushed him unto the ground. He fell down hard onto his face and grunted trying to stand back on his feet.

I pushed him back down to his back and put my my full body wieght on him, pinning his hands ontop of his head with one hand and then pulling the hoodie off his face with the other hand. Ocean blue eyes sliced into my eyes like a sword. He- No, cross that. I mean she, was trembling underneath me.

Her fire red hair was tangled and long. Her skin was a tan color that had millions of freckles speckled all over her cheeks, forehead and nose. I began to raise and stand on my feet to help her up and apologize, but she quickly arcs her back and brings her bare foot to my chest shoving me down. I fall backwards to the hard earth and the girl jumps up and sits down on my chest pinning me down.

We were now in opposite positions. Instead of her being underneath me it was me underneath her. I laughed at her accomplishment. She is tough even though she is as light as a feather.

Her eyes were filled with fear but it had a hint of bravery in it. I sat up to lean on my elbows, as she slides down a bit gripping a handful of my shirt in her hands. She leaned towards me and frowns deeply.

I began to apoligize, "I am sorry, Maam. I didnt mean to hurt you. I thought you were a man." I add confessing. Her frown disappears and she looks at me in shock, while everything around us settled in silence. She stood up with her feet on each side of me. I look up at her as she thinks quietly and and I take my chance to examine her.

Well, you know, I am a guy.

She had on a brown long sleeved shirt and a hoodie tied around her neck. It was dirty just like her black pants but her shirt was tight. It exposed the outline of her thin waist and her small round breast. I gulp and she quickly catches me checking her out. I do deserve the consequences. She frowns at me and a fist comes towards me knocking me out with a single punch.

He gave me a weird feeling and I should have hit him before I started to hear things. I look at this guy who is now tied up on a chair infront of me. His head hangs low and his brown hair covers his face. I grab a fist of his hair and pull back his head looking at his injured face.

How did I ever trust him? He just attacked me and almost hurt me. Mother is right. People are dangerous.
