Chapter 14- His lips attack

~ Scarletie's P.O.V. ~

He is so close. His strong chest against mine and a warm hand against my cheek. I can hear my heart pounding softly as his green eyes glow hungry like a wild wolf. Even though something is wrong, I feel safe in his arms. He rubs my cheek in a circular motion with his thumb and then brushes my lips. He brings his face closer, looking deep into my eyes, our nose almost touching, but he tilts his head the unexpected happens. He presses his full lips against mine.

Is he trying to hurt me.. even though it feels so right. His mouth is sending thousands of bolts through my body, making me shudder in pleasure. Is this him attacking me with his lips?

I shove him, "What was that!?"

"It's called a kiss, Scarletie. I- I like you, a lot. And I want you. No I need you to come with me when I leave." Every word he said sounded true.

That "kiss" left my mouth tingling for more. I look up at him, and saw a flash of hope in his eyes. I sigh and pulling myself away from him and shuttingy eyes. I dont want to see his reaction, "I don't think I can..." I open them again and find him staring up at the ceiling. His eyes swimming in sadness. I almost wanted to take back anything that hurt him.

"I am not going to leave you here." He says, obvious frusturation in his voice.

He pulls me back him, whispering words, that I know will linger in the back of my mind forever, "I won't leave you."

My heart aches. What is going on? I place my hand over my heart, feeling it beat at a speed I never knew exsisted. Why do I feel like this?

I lay my head onto his chest. "Its just," I began speaking, but stop. My head starts pounding, as though my brain is begging to bust out of my head, "I love Sox. He is the only one that stayed and didn't leave me!" I felt my eyes blur, tears evidently coming, "Like you, a-and Mother!" I said, starting to raise my voice.

I hate thinking of Mother, and without noticing, her name slipped out my mouth. I broke down into tears and buried my face into his chest. He tightens his steel arms around me, feeling more at home then I have ever been.

"I miss mother, Chad. Everywhere I go I remember her." I whisper, suddenly losing all energy to speak.

Scarletie is bawling into my shirt as I hug her tighter. I never want to let her go now, I need her to come with me. I don't think I could live without her.

I want her to come, not becuase she is a witch, or to kill her, but because I like her.

This time I am not doing this to let her "fall" for me. Its because I have fallen for her. I finally said it to myself, and it's true. I have fallen for a witch. I didn't know when I started to have these feelings, but I like her, a lot.

I woke up from the loud boom of thunder outside. I find Scarletie sound asleep, so I don't move, not wanting to wake her up. I took the advantage to take in her apperance, she looks so calm, and at peace. I trace her face with my hands capturing this moment, to hold onto forever.

I bring her head closer to my lips to kiss her forehead. Her eyes flutter open, looking up to see me staring at her flawless face. At first she was shocked to see me staring down at her with such passion, but soon her cheeks flushed a deep red. I laughed to my self, knowing i caused her this.

We lay there for a while, without uttering one word. We just sat there, soaking in this moment.

But suddenly, Scarletie stands up. She scans the room frowning. Her face crumpled, after not finding what she was looking for. She rose to her feet, searching the cottage.

"What's wrong?" I ask, sighing that the moment was destroyed.

She looks at me and tears slide down her cheek, "What's the matter?" I ask and stand. I so badly wanted to reach out and wipe her tears away, but before I could comfort her she grabs her hoodie and bolts outside into the woods.

I chase after her. "What are you doing, Scarletie?" I scream over the rain and booming thunder.

We dash through trees as they grab at my skin and clothes. The rain is raining hard, hitting us like pebbles. We make many turns until she finally stops.

She stands there for a while until she collapse onto the ground, like a skyscraper, cupping her face in her hands.

I sit down by her on the muddy ground. I remove her hands away from her face and find her eyes red, and puffy, "Chad," She squeaks as she wraps her arms around me in a comforting hug. I feel her body shake as she cries

It pains me when she's like this. I couldn't bare to see the one I'm falling for break down into such sobs.

"Scarletie, what's wrong?" I plead for an answer.

She breaks lose from the hug, and looks at me, "Sox is gone." She tells me, as she points to her right.

I frown Sox would never leave her. "What are you talking about?" I look at were she pointed, passed the trees, there layed a red fox, torn in half. I could see every organ in him. I grab Scarletie's head and hide her face away from the view.

"Don't look." I tell her as she sobs loudly into my chest.
