Chapter 3

Catherine's POV

As Jessica approached with Thomas. Me and her stayed together while Newt and Thomas talked.
A few minutes later they came to us.
"So Newt is going to give Catherine the tour while I give the tour to Jess" Thomas said
"Ok" Jessica said
Newts POV
I grabbed Catherine by the hand and walked with her.
"Do you know why am I here?" She asked
"I don't quite know...no one knows why are we here we all came out of that box just like you did" I responded "So let me introduce you to some Gladers" I said
"Gladers?"She asked confused
"This place is called the glade and we call ourselves Gladers"
"Chuck!" I shout a few seconds later were greeted by him
Cathys POV
"Wow a girl?" The little guy asked
"Haven't y'all seen a girl before?"I questioned
"No your the first" Chuck said
"You know your quite beautiful" Newt said and chuck nodded.
I immediately started blushing like crazy.
"Why thank you"I said as I controlled myself
"Newt!!"I heard a shout a dark skinned guy approached.
"wow a girl how'd she get here?" he questioned
"They came up here today a few minutes after we got our supplies"Newt said
"They?" He said
"There were 2 girls actually" Newt clarified
"My name is Alby..... I'm in charge here and Newt is second in command when I'm not here. " Alby said as he took his hand out for me to shake and I did
"Catherine"I simply responded shaking his hand.
"Well Newt you shall continue the tour" Alby said "Oh and please tell Gally to make a wall in the middle of the big room in the homestead" He said
"What for?"Newt asked
"Girls need their privacy" He said and walked away
"Chuck go tell frypan that we have 2 new greenies to set 2 more plates tonight" Newts said
"Alright" Chuck said and walked away
Me and Newt walked away from the rest and walked towards a wall
"What is this" I said as I observed the names written on the wall having some scratched  out.
"We are going to write your name on it" He said taking a knife out of his pocket.
"Alright?" I said
After he helped me with my name a we walked around a few more
"We basically covered everything by now but I need to tell you the rules we keep here in the glade number one : everyone does their part , rule number 2: never hurt another Glader, the most important rule of all, never go beyond those walls" he said I nodded and pointed out that there was some guys walking in from the spot opened on the walls.
"Newt what about them?" I said
"Oh they, they can they are runners the ones I was telling you about earlier today.......... They are the only ones that can go out there they look for a way out of the maze " he said
"The maze?" I said confused
"Maze? Did I say maze?"He said
"Yes.......you did" I Said
"Yes maze there's a maze out of there none has ever made it out" He said
The boys running into the glade approached us.
"Wow a girl?"A guys with black hair said
"Yeah a girl, they came in today just after you had left to run"Newt answered.
"They?"He questioned
"Yeah there is two girls"
"What's your name Greenie?" He asked
"My name's Catherine" I said
" Beautiful name just as you, My name is Minho and he's Winston " He said
"Nice to meet you" I said
"We have to get going.......see you around Greenie"Minho said then left.
"Their quite nice" I said to Newt
"Yeah"He said then walked away leaving me alone
I was wondering around the glade and ended up in the woods. I heard a branch crack and I quickly looked around to see no one. I decided to walk away. To then hear another branch crack.
"Hello?"I said a bit scared looking around
I heard a growl near by. So I decided to run. I heard footsteps running behind me I ran as fast as I can.
Newt POV
As I finished planting I went to the woods to get some water I then hear footsteps and saw Catherine running my way.
I dropped the bucket.
"Whoa whoa what's happening" I said
"There is someone chasing me"She said I looked behind her to see, Ben? What
"Run!" She said as she grabbed my arm and ran.
I looked back and saw a stick trough ben and Minho running behind.
"Dang Catherine you can run" He said
"Thanks?....... But what the hell was that?" Cathy asked
"Long story....... But Minho how did he get in here didn't we took him out?"I said
"Yeah we did but I don't know"Minho said confused
Then a few minutes after the rest of the glade came here.
"What's going on ?" Alby said
"Ben somehow got back in here"I said
"Wait what?.....how'd he get in here?" Alby said confused
"That's the least of our problems we have to get him out of here"I said
"The doors will close in about five minutes..... Let's get him out" Minho said
