As I walked back home, I thought about how my mom was gonna kill me. I wasn't even thinking about the man I had just killed, it was more like the dope idea I came up with to use the vice grip.

Hell awaited me 10 feet away. Walking to the door, I noticed there was a note on the door. It read: Eviction Notice, in big bold letters.

"What the hell!" I screamed to myself while ripping up the paper.

As I walked in the house, I grabbed some suitcases and started packing my stuff. Then sat on the bed and pulled out my phone.

"Hey Raven. Is Nikki around?" I asked.

"Yeah. She's right here." She responded.

"Could you guys come and pick me up? We umm got evicted from our house." I spoke softy, I hadn't noticed but warm tears were rolling down my face.

I heard them scrambling, trying to get ready. "Yeah baby. We on our way!" Nikki yelled.

Nikki and Raven were my two absolute best friends; they were step-sisters and they've always been there for me. Raven was a sleek and slim Cherokee, black, dutch, German with shoulder length amazingly thick brown hair, who always goofed off. She was also the shortest out of me and Nikki both. But Nikki was was the total opposite of Raven. She was completely Caucasian, model body and height with beautiful hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair.

Right as I was getting done packing my bags, I heard them knock at the door.

"Coming!" I yelled. I wiped my tears before I opened the door. They quickly threw a cup of vodka and juice into my hand.

"I'm so sorry." Nikki said.

"Me too." Raven added.

"Its okay you guys." I said to them as I pulled away from the hug.

"Where's your mom?" Nikki asked.

"Gone." I said lowly.

"Come on. You're coming and staying with us." Raven said. They grabbed my bags and threw them in the car. They were the only ones who knew about my mom and me, and what I'd been going through.

●●A Couple Of Minutes Later●●

We pulled up to their house, my second home. I got my bags out the car and went inside.

"Hey Ms. Bass." I said .

"Hey Nia! A sleepover?" She asked sweetly. "And you didn't let me know about this ladies?" She said turning to her daughters angrily.

"Umm ..." I stuttered.

"They got evicted, and we thought maybe she could stay with us." Raven said.

"Of course Sweetie! Oh my goodness! Where's Zayda?" She said out of curiosity. I just shrugged my shoulder.

"Damn, Zayda." She said as she ran over to give me a hug. "I'm so sorry!"

After that we walked upstairs so I could unpack my bags. Still sipping on the drink they gave me.

"What did you have to tell us Jayy?" Nikki reminded me.

"Oh umm ... " I got nervous. But had to tell them. I stood up, closed the door, then sat back down.

"Come on boo, what is it?" Raven said as she rubbed my back.

"Okay ... I killed somebody, well two somebodies." I said with a big fake bear smile.
