"Oh, okay." I spoke softly. "Well why haven't I been hurting, or been in serious pain?"
"I don't know. You will start getting treatment ASAP." He paused. "You're one lucky girl though, so just keep high spirits and you will be fine Nia, I promise." He smiled at me as he turned around to leave.
"Hey, if a guy named Alex Starr wants to see me ... Don't let him in." I said looking straight forward.
"Yes ma'am." He said with a nod of his head.
That Night
Jazmine was sleep on the chair beside me as I started having major pain in my chest. I buzzed the doctor as fast as I could.
"What's the problem?" The nurse said over the intercom.
"I having really bad pain." I nearly yelled into the speaker.
"Okay, the doctor is on his way right now sweetie." She spoke sweatly.
The doctor ran into the room along woth someone else ...
Izzy POV
As I walked in the hospital, I searched for a nurse.
"Umm excuse me?"
"One second sir," She said as she screamed to a doctor down the hall. "Dr. Ellie, Nia Jayy is in critical pain."
As the doctor took off down the hallway, I followed.
Nia POV
"Damn." I screamed to myself as I cringed into a ball, trying not to wake up Jazmine.
"Where are you hurting?!" She doctor yelled, making Jazmine wake up.
"Around my rib area!" I whispered in pain.
"Daddy?" I heard Jazmine say through the air.
"Jazmine!" Out of no where I seen Alex grabbed Jazmine and hold her close.
I sat up fast, trying to break up that hug but the pain took me over. As I quickly fell back into the bed, I sstartled the Doctor.
"Nurse!" He yelled into the hallway.
"Nia ... " Alex said as he stared into my eyes.
Tears from hurt and pain rolled down my face. Memories came back slowly, of how bad I wanted to die. How bad I used to crave drugs. How bad I wanted someone to love me.
"Okay, Nia I'm going to give you this pain medicine. It's going to burn a little okay?" He said as he injected a clear substance into me.
"God!" I yelled loudly as Jazmine cried.
Around 3:00 AM
I sat there staring at the wall. Hurting so much that I went numb, limp. Alex sat on the couch as he rocked Jazz to sleep.
Izzy POV
I was scared to say anything to Nia while she was in this state. Knowing how wrong I was for last night night made me feel horrible about myself. I couldn't believe what I had did to this beautiful women, who is now dying of cancer. When I thought about it I just wanted to put a bullet through my head.
I took a deep breath, breathing as if it was my last.
"Daddy, is mommy going to die?"
