I was listening to the Maroon 5 song, Losing My Mind, as I ran through the park, the chilly Boston air stinging my lungs with each breath I took. It was my morning run around the park, and the snow had melted enough when we got back for me to run. I paused to sip my water and make sure my hair wasn't coming out of the ponytail before continuing. I heard footsteps join behind me, and twisted around to see Elizabeth right at my heels. I stopped and gave her a curious look at I crossed my arms and caught my breath.
"What are you doing Lizzie?" I asked as Lizzie backed away a little, giving enough space for another person to come.
"I've been looking for you all weekend, I thought maybe I'd catch you on your run" Elizabeth explained as she imitated my crossed arms.
"I told you I was going away" I said and stepped towards her, rolling my eyes as she stepped back "What do you need?"
"I wabted to take you up on your offer from the other day" Elizabeth answered, biting her lip "You, me and that Steven guy have dinner tommorow night." She said
I nodded "Alright, fine. Just text me where and what time, okay?" I said as I jogged away.

"Amy! Isn't you friend coming here soon?" Steven yelled up the stairs. "It's already half after! Don't you want to be ready when she gets here?"
"Are you of all people telling me to hurry up when I'm trying to pick an outfit?" I yelled back down as I stared at the clothing laid out on the bed. I sighed heavily as I grabbed blue jeans and wriggled into it and grabbed a belt. After a few minutes of debating, I settled on the black blouse and put my boots on, running downstairs "Okay, I'm ready for when Lizzie gets here." I said, running my fingers through my hair nervously "Or maybe I should change again?"
"You don't have the time" Steven said as he looked out the window "She's here"
"Shit, okay" I said and hurried over to the door, opening it the second I heard the first knock. Elizabeth stood there with a fist in the air and a thrown off look. I reached forward and brought her into a hug "Hey hun, let's go!" I said as I lead her outside, Steven following us "You sure you're okay taking my car?"
"Oh yeah, my car broke down again anyway" Elizabeth shrugged as we got in the car. Seeing Steven going towards the front seat, she gave an uneasy smile and muttered something about having to sit in the back.
I just smiled and tried to look pretty, not sure what I could say to that. I hopped into the drivers seat and drove to a nice, comfy resturant on the other side of town. The three of us were seated pretty quickly in a booth, Steven and I on one side, Elizabeth on the other.
"So" Elizabeth said as the aiter walked away with our apptetizer orders "Where did you two go this weekend?"
"Oh, Steven took me to his home in New Hampshire, we went hiking and took a boat ride-" I said
"Sort of went swimming" Steven interrupted, laughing.
"Oh yeah, Steven forced me in the freezing cold lake a few times." I said, rolling my eyes dramatically and pointing at him with my thumb "He's crazy" I mouthed to Elizabeth, watching the corners of her lips lift up a little, but kept a hard face.
"Sounds like it was fun" Elizabeth said as she sipped her coke.
"It was, it was great to get out of here and just-" Again, I was cut off.
"She loves you" Elizabeth said suddenly "Amy loved you. Do you know that?" She asked Steven as she crossed her arms.
"Yes, she's told me, multiple times" Steven said with a smile.
