"Lizzie, I won't be gone that long" I laughed as I looked at the price tag of a dress. $350. Nope.

"Yes, but it's long enough, ugh" Lizzie joked, snorting in my ear.

"Ew, what the hell was that?" I yelled, holding the phone away from me "Not attractive, love"

"Oh shut up."

"Bitch, please, don't tell me what to do" I hissed jokingly

"Whatever whatever I do what I want" Lizzie responded

"What are you even saying?"

"Amy" someone said from behind me.

I turned around and saw my younger sister staring at me "Lizzie, I'll call you back" I said seriously, hanging up "Dawn."

Dawn looked away for a second and back to me "You look good" She said

"You do too" I smiled awkwardly

"You're going somewhere?" She asked and nodded to my phone in my hand "I heard you talking to Lizzie..."

"Oh, uh, yeah" I said as I pocketed my phone "Steven and the rest of the band are going on tour, so I'm joining them" I answered, smiling a bit more genuinly.

"Oh, really..." Dawn mumbled "You're still hanging out with those guys?"

"Uh, yeah, of course" I responded and ran a hand through my hair "They're all so nice and a lot of fun to be around with"

"That's nice" Dawn smiled tightly "And uh, you're real close to that Steven guy now?"

"Wel um, yeah.." I said, a little nervously. Lizzie was the only one who really knew the nature of our relationship "I mean he's... we're together"

"Oh" She said, and her eyes darted away. Her lips were moving slightly, and quiet, breathy words escaped from them now and then. I knew she was trying to calm herself. It's what she did before she flipped.

I put a hand on my sister's shoulder tenativly "Dawn, I have to go" I said, pursing my lips "If you need me, just call" I finished and walked out of the store as fast as I could

"He's older than our father!" Dawn cried after me, following. She grabbed my arm and turned me around "It's a little weird, don't you think?"

I sighed "Please Dawn, stop" I whispered and pulled my arm away "We're okay with the age difference. We got over that" I told her and turned again.

"Why are you doing this, Amy? Why can't you just come back? It's been months, whatever phase of your life you're in, it has to stop!" Dawn yelled, grabbing me again.

"It's not a phase" I retorted, angry now. I glared at my little sister. "I love him. I'm happy with Steven. You need to learn to accept that!" I hissed and shoved her away, storming away.

Just goes to show how my family is.
