Midnight Ramblings

The letter

I saw her walking up to me, and tried to avoid her, but something just pulled me to her, and she briefly stopped in front of me, handing me a piece of paper, mumbling something, and walked away.

I looked at the paper and realized it was a letter, and as I read the words, I felt my heart shatter like glass, and my tears flow down my face.

My love,

By the time you read this letter, I will be gone, and I know you will worry, but don't my dear, I will come back. Darling you told me so many time not to join up, that something bad would happen to me, but love, I am not afraid. I know that I will be protected, and if the time comes for me to leave here, I pray you will be alright with it too. Love, please, PLEASE don't be angry with me. I will come back, I will.
