Two Houses - A Draco Malfoy Fanfic

Chapter 10

-THE SECOND TASK-
    I walked down to the stands with Autumn and Clara. We were all wearing our Hogwarts hats, as it was still quite cold. I saw Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle walking down as well, but as well as hats, Draco had brought a grey woolen blanket with him. Good idea, I thought as I shivered. We finally got to the platforms by boat, and were shivering. Draco got to the stands before I did, and waved to us as we made our way to the stands. Draco pushed aside Crabbe, who was directly to his left, and had Crabbe move to next to Goyle. He then patted the seat, motioning for me to sit down there. I sat, and Autumn winked at me, and then her and Clara went to sit by Brady Tennant.
    "Hey, are you cold?" Draco asked, concerned.
    "Yeah, a little, I guess." I responded, as a shiver went through my body.
    "Sage, you gotta learn how to take care of yourself." Draco said a bit angrily, but he looked happy for a chance to take care of me. He wrapped the blanket around my shoulders.
    "Better?" He asked.
    "Way better." I said contentedly, the blanket warming me up. "Thanks, Draco."
    "You still look a little cold. Here." Draco wrapped his arms around me, and squeezed tight.
    "Even better." I smiled, looking up at him. He looked down at me, and gave me a goofy grin. At that moment, the announcements started, and a few minutes later, the champions jumped into the water. Neville was down at Harry's platform, and he looked on in dismay as Harry was shoved into the murky depths by Professor Moody. Harry didn't surface for a minute or two, and Neville looked terrified, as if he'd just personally murdered Harry Potter. Everyone in the stands held their breath, as if anticipating the worst. All of a sudden, Harry Potter jumped from the depths with fins on his feet and hands, and did a flip back into the water. Everyone cheered, and I let out a sigh of relief. Draco's jaw tightened.
    "Harry thinks he's all brilliant and clever by doing that. You see? He just did it for the applause." Draco motioned to the rest of the stands, which were still in awe of Harry's flip. I decided it would be best to shut up for a minute on the subject, and cheered on Cedric Diggory, a fellow Hufflepuff.
