~Genevieve Arellano

It been a week since I last saw Harry, he called and texted me on Sunday and I ignored everything. I think he got the hint because he hasn't tried to get into contact since then. He skipped school so he didn't have to see me. I'm not angry at him, I'm hurt. I want him to open up to me, I want to be able to make him as happy as he makes me. I needed this time to think of how I can help him without suffocating him with all my questions. I need him to trust me like I trust him. I know me and Harry haven't known each other for too long but I feel like I've known him forever. We've spent so much time together and I've loved every second of it. I've loved speaking to him in and out of school, and watching his lips move slowly when he speaks. I've loved it when he smiled and the dimples popped out on his face. I've loved watching his hand move through his hair when he's frustrated or just fixing it in general. I've loved how sarcastic he can be and how much it makes me laugh because we have the same kind of humour. I've loved how charming and sweet he is all the time. I knew going to that party was a bad idea but I just wanted to see Harry. If we would have never went there then Harry wouldn't have hit Theo and we would still be talking. Stop thinking about things that you can't change. Think about how you can now improve the situation. Wow my conscience is making sense today.

But do I go and see him right this second? Do I text him and ask him what his address is and just go? Or do I wait a day or two longer? I think I might visit him tomorrow or something because I'm not ready to face him just yet.

A loud clink brings me out of my thoughts, I run over to the window and see my father and brother stick fighting. I might join them. I run over to my wardrobe and pull out black leggings and a grey jumper. I put on my underwear and bra first and then pull the clothes on after. I run to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I brush my hair and put it up in a bun and make my way out of the house.

I get to the garden and watch their fast movements. My dad goes to hit Cam in the head with the stick but Cam dodges it and returns the gesture. My father grabs Cams stick and throws it, it some how manages to fly my way and I catch it in one hand. They both turn to look at me.

"Ready to train?" I smirk. They both look at one another and then back at me.

"Come on then." Cam laughs and I make my way over to them.

"You need to learn the movements slowly so you can execute them well." My father says and demonstrates. I watch carefully and try to copy, he hits the stick sideways twice and then spins whilst bringing it over his head to hit it forward. Ok my turn. So I hit it sideways. One. Two. Then turn and try not to hit anyone in the face and then hit it forward. I hear my dad clap.

"Nice." He takes my stick and throws it to the floor.

"Hey!"

"You also need to learn how to fight without a weapon. Cam." He waves Cam over.

"He's going to try and hit you, you need to dodge it and block it. This can be quite fun once you get the hang of it, but don't start doing any cool tricks until you know the basics ok?" He explains and I nod.

Cam walks over and slowly goes to hit my head, I block it with my arm. He goes to hit me again and I dodge it and punch him in the stomach. He winces but recovers quickly before going to hit me again. I don't realise how fast he hit it because it hits me on my arm and then he goes to hit me again. I grab the stick and pull it. I then go and hit his leg, it makes him fall to the floor. I push him to the side and put my foot onto his back.

"Piece of cake." I laugh and I hear Cam do the same.

"I'm impressed Genevieve." My father says which warms my heart.

"Thank you." I smile.

"Umm...Gen can you get off
of me now?" I hear Cam say from the floor and I laugh and take my foot off.

"Sorry." I say and he shakes his head and chuckles.

"You should practice everyday so that you can start going on missions with us Gen. We don't know when the war will start or how long it will last. But you need to be ready for it." Cam explains and I nod.

"I will practice."

"Good, now go get some rest." My father says and I dismiss myself.

Training was actually good, I enjoyed it and it took my mind off of Harry. I miss him. But I think having time away from him allowed me to analyse the situation. I just needed a plan on how to make Harry trust me. I think I just need to be there for him and just act normal. I need to hang out with him like I usually do and over time he will start to trust me. We can even build on our friendship. I want us to be more than just friends one day. But I don't know if he feels the same way. I mean, we haven't known each other for that long but he claims to have known me for a while. I will invite him out for dinner or something. Yeah that's what I'll do.

For the past hour or so I've just been watching some Netflix and eating as per usual before a hear a knock at the door.

"Come in." I mumble and the door opens revealing my brother.

"Get ready, we're going out to a restaurant." He smiles and walks out of my room.

What time is it? I turn on my phone, 6:00. I huff, I'm comfortable in my pjs. I might just go in my pjs. Nah I can't do that. I rush over to my wardrobe and take out a burgundy dress, it reaches the middle of my thighs, not too long, not too short. The sleeves are short. Perfect. I put it on quickly and then I grab some black heels and walk over to my mirror. Luckily my hair is curled and isn't a mess so I walk out of my room and down the stairs. My father and brother are standing and waiting for me.

"Let's go." I smile.
