~Seventeen~

~Harry Styles

My eyes shoot open when I hear glass smash downstairs. I jump out of bed and run out of my room and down the stairs. I run in to the kitchen where the sound came from and I am met with my smiling mum.

"I accidentally knocked over my mug." She chuckles and I laugh at her clumsiness.

"You scared the shit out of me, I thought we were getting robbed." I admit and she laughs.

"Sorry love." She smiles and I return the gesture. I walk around the table and grab myself a mug and tea bag before pouring some hot water inside.

"So how was your date last night?" She asks and my cheeks heat up. 

"It was good, great actually. She really liked the cottage." I explain and she smiles.

"Genevieve Arellano." She says and I look at her, "Is she still a mundane?" She asks and I nod.

"I mean, it's better than her being a dog." She says and I chuckle.

"Yeah." I laugh, "She's amazing."

"I'm sure she is, just don't let her father know you've been sneaking around with his little angel."

"I won't." I sigh.

"Alexander is having a meeting with the vampires council later, we are going." She says and I nod.

"Is Theo going to be there?" I ask and she shrugs.

"He's pretty irrelevant in the council." She laughs and I join in.

"I hate him, he almost told Gen." I admit and she shakes her head.

"I'm sorry Harry but she will find out one day."

"I know, but he was going to rat me out In front of a frat party. I will tell her, soon." I sigh.

"If she isn't hurt too much and she actually listens to the full story, I'm sure she will understand." She walks over to stand in front of me, "Everyone knows, there was nothing you could do to stop it." She rubs my arm.

"I love you mum."

"I love you Harry, now go get ready."

After sitting and doing nothing for two hours my mum finally decided it was time to go to the city.

I walk down the stairs to meet her and we walk outside, she locks the front door and goes over to the car. I follow behind and get into the passengers side, she turns on the radio and starts driving. She hums along to some of the songs she knows and I just smirk at her. I keep my eyes forward, it's not a really long journey but it's not short either. It's about an hours drive depending on traffic. I can't keep my eyes open anymore so I just close them and lean against the window at the side.

"Harry!" I hear my mum shout and my eyes slowly open, has it been an hour already?

"Get up." She chuckles and gets out of the car. I undo my seatbelt and open the door to get out. I make sure to stretch my arms out.  I slam the door and my mum sends a flare my way.

We walk over to the huge skyscraper across from where we parked, we enter the building and are greeted with a smiling woman at the desk.

"Anne, Harry." She nods, "Welcome back."

"Nice to see you again Selene." My mum smiles and I nod back at her.

"Go to room 144, the council are waiting for you." She smiles. My mum nods and walks to the elevator and I follow.

She presses the 14th floor and stands whilst tapping her foot.
The doors open and we walk to room 144, my mum knocks and it opens almost instantly.
