~Genevieve Arellano

"Gen!"

I roll over and place a pillow over my head, "Gen!" I hear Cam shout again and I let out a loud scream.

The door opens and I feel the bed shift a few moments later, "Gen, we have twenty minutes until the bus arrives, get ready."

"Shit." I jump out of bed and scramble to the chair with my clothes on top. I put on my black jumper and black leggings along with my black slip on vans with white at the bottom. I grab my bag and run to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and hair before rushing downstairs. I didn't even bother putting on makeup but I don't really mind not having it on.

My father is already washing the dishes from breakfast, "Great, I just missed the most important meal of the day." I roll me eyes and Cam chuckles.

"Well, you should have woken up the first time I called you an hour ago." He states and I send him a glare. He raises his hands in defeat and I smirk.

The beep from the bus, echoes through the house, we run to the door and onto the bus. Cam and I always sit at the back because it's away from all the noise. We walk past a few kids and they have their legs out, blocking the walk way. I roll my eyes and step over them.

"That was annoying."

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, what's wrong with you?" Cam asks. "You've never overslept before."

"I know, I think I have a cold or something." I brush it off.

As we get to the school, Cam waves me off and goes to his lesson, I make my way to English literature. It's one of my favourite lessons.

As I get inside, I make my way to my seat and lay out all my books. The class starts with a discussion on Macbeth.

"What type of character is Macbeth?" Mr Roland asks.

Just as he says this, Harry walks in, his eyes lock with mine and he makes his way to the seat next to me. My heart rate increases, I can't believe he is here.

"Mr Styles, I hope you aren't planning on being late to all of my lessons." My teacher says and Harry shakes his head and sits down. His head turns to look at me and I do the same to look at him.

"Hey." He nods his head at me.

"Hey." I smile.

"What is the lesson about?" He whispers.

"What type of character is Macbeth?" Mr Roland repeats and Harry sighs and turns to face the front.

A guy called Timmy puts his hand up, "A bad one." He answers and I roll my eyes, I see Harry do the same and I chuckle. Harry turns to me, "A bad one." He mocks and makes a funny face. I laugh and Mr Roland turns to look at us.

"Something Funny Miss Arellano?"

I shake my head, "No, not at all."

"What type of character do you think Macbeth is?" He asks and my face goes red. I hate it when teachers do this and catch me off guard.

Harry turns to look at me and wiggles his eyebrows, he leans his head on one hand and waits for me to reply, I scold him.

I clear my throat, "I think Macbeth is a very immoral character. He went from being a loyal and respectable person to a murderer and traitor. He knew right from wrong but after Lady Macbeth manipulated him into killing the king, he chose the villainous path." I say and Mr Roland nods.

"What did Lady Macbeth say to Macbeth to manipulate him into doing the deed?" He asks and turns to face Harry.

"She called him a coward and questioned Macbeth's manhood." He answers and I nod. I applaud how fast he answered and how confident he sounded in his answer. I wish I had that type of confidence.

"Good." Mr Roland Says and carries on asking questions.

Harry turns to me and whispers, "Got any plans for the weekend babe?"

"Umm... I don't think so, why?"

"There's this guy called Tate and he's throwing a party, I was wondering if you would go with me." He smiles, the red on his cheeks are prominent.

"I don't know Harry, parties aren't really my thing."

He nods, "Its just because, you're one of my friends here and I just wanted some company, but if not I completely understand."

Aww, he said I'm his friend.

"I will ask my father and let you know." I say and his smile widens.

"Shall I give you my number so you can let me know?"

"Sure." I nod and I watch as he scribbles down his number on a small piece of paper and hands it to me.

"It's a date." His eyes go wide as he realises what he just said, "I mean not like a date, date..." he trails off.

I laugh, "Don't worry about it."

The bell goes and we make our way out of the class, I can feel Harry next to me, his shoulder brushing into mine every once in a while.

"You look really pretty." He compliments.

My heart could literally explode right now.

"Thank you, you look really good too." We both smile, his smile makes my day.

We make our way into the lunch hall and we sit down next to one another, we both engage in a conversation. I feel someone's eyes on me and I turn to see my brother staring right at me. He's at a table with loads of people and a pretty blonde next to him, I think that's Ella. I watch as she laughs and leans her head against his shoulder. I'm happy for him.

I finally realise why he is staring at me, it's because I'm with Harry. I also remember how Harry disappeared the second he saw my brother and father walking out the shop. I need to find out what they have against Harry. I mean I get it, he's a vampire and my father is not a fan of them but they seem to be really annoyed that I'm with Harry specifically.

When I got home, I ran up to my room and took out the piece of paper with Harry's number on it. I type it into my phone and name it Harry with a smiley face. I will make sure to message him soon.

I go downstairs and sit at the table. My father has prepared a chicken dinner with potatoes. We have a chat and discuss when we will all start training together. In the middle of our dinner I finally decide it's time to ask about going to the party.

I take in a deep breath. Come on Gen.
