8 - You're Best Friends But Like Each Other (Ashton)

Ashton -

"Okay," you announced, walking into the living room where Ash was setting up a movie. "The popcorn has arrived!" You said in an overly exaggerating voice.
He chuckled to himself, but a lingering smile was on his face.
He settled back into the cushions and patted the seat next to him.
You settled under his arm (holy arms wow) and into the crook of his neck.
You had liked Ashton for as long as you could remember, but you were also his best friends for as long as you could remember.
Ashton was the most important person to you in the world, so you put aside your feelings in fear of rejection, and made to sure to appreciate him as your best friend.

Ashton had of course picked a horror movie, and the lights were down.
You cowered into his neck, peeking at the screen at different moments.
Your hands were fisted into his t-shirt, and you were staying as close to him as possible at one really gruesome part.
"Y/n," Ashton whispered.
"Yes," you said into his neck, coming out muffled.
"It's over, you can look again," he said, but you could hear the smile in his voice.
You shook your head violently.
"No, you're trying to trick me!"
"No!" But you heard the falter in his voice.
"I can hear you trying to hold in your laughter!" You said back.
You felt the laughter shake him silently as you clung on to him.
"That's not why I'm smiling," he said quietly.
"Yea?" You asked, disbelieving. "Then why?"
"Because you're too cute for your own good."
At that you looked up, to find him looking down at you adoringly.
You really hoped he didn't mean that in a friendly way.
As if in answer to your question, he started leaning down, and you, taking that as a yes, starting leaning up, and your lips met half way.
You deepened the kiss, and he brought a hand up and cupped your cheek.
Unable to resist, you brought your hands to the base of his neck, and slowly slid them up to his hair, gripping his curls.
You both pulled apart, and smiled.
Ashton spoke first, with a small smile on his face.
"You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that."
