The teacher droned on about some function and some line, and something about X or whatever but it all bored you anyways.
And if you were like anyone else in the class, you would've groaned at the fact that the teacher asked for someone to come up to the board.
Secretly, though, you were happy you weren't called up, but even happier it was your crush, Luke, giving you a better view of him.
He glanced over at the teacher who was watching him and gave Luke a small nod, as Luke wrote on the board, his broad frame covering up his answer.
As he stood away from his answer, you broke out into a smile and looked at Luke disbelievingly, who had a nervous look on his face as he studied yours for a reaction.
Y/n, will you go to prom with me?
He brought out a a bouquet of roses from under the teachers desk, handing them to you.
"So, will you?"
"Yes! Oh my gosh, yes!"
You stood up and hugged him as the class erupted into applause.
It was a good thing you didn't fall asleep during class.
