The Baby

The next morning I get ready to go out with Casey. I just wear casual clothes, black jeans and El's NYPD jumper, because it's bigger.
Knock knock knock
I walk to the door.
"Casey!" I say hugging her, but my bump stops me.
"Hey Liv!" She says.
We both laugh when my bump stops us from hugging.
"You ready?" She asks.
"Yep, let me just grab my keys and phone" I say walking to the counter. I put them in the joey pocket of the hoodie and walk out.

We drive into town.
"Oooo can we go in here!?" Casey say pointing to Victoria secrets.
"Oh my god no!" I say laughing.
We continue to walk down the the street and come across a baby shop.
"Oh please! We have to go in here!" She says practically jumping up and down.
"Yeah okay" I say.
We walk in and Casey walks over to a rail with baby clothes on it.
"Oh my god Liv!" She says
She turns around and holds up a baby thirst with NYPD on it.
"Oh my god this is so adorable. I'm buying you this!" She says.
I think she is more excited than I am!
I look around the store and my phone rings.
"Hey baby" el says.
"Hey"
"So what you doing today?"
"Me and Casey are in a baby store, she has found some stuff, but I'm really hungry so we might go to get some food in a bit " I say.
I see Casey holding up two baby t shirts, one red with Police baby wrote on it and one white with detective cutie wrote on it with a police badge . I laugh and nod at her.
"Okay baby, stay safe" el says.
"Okay, love you" I say
"Love you beautiful"
I laugh "bye!"
I hang up the phone.
"Casey you really need to chill!" I say.
"Yeah but look at how cute these are! These are off me!" She says paying the woman at the check out.
"It's gonna be like its mommy and daddy!" She says.
She pays the lady and we walk out.
"Let me get the bags" she says
"Casey I'm pregnant not disabled" I say
"I want to, I don't want any pressure on the baby!" She says.
We stop at a small cafe by Central Park.
I feel my phone buzz again.
"Hello" I hear Elliot say.
"Babe you don't need to keep checking up on me I'm fine! I have Casey" I say moving the phone over to her.
"Hey Elliot, me and Liv are in the park getting up to no good!" She says
I take the phone back.
"You better not be! Babe I'm putting you on speaker the guys wanna talk to you"
"Okay. Hey you guys"
"Hey Liv" I hear in a mixture of Finn's Munch's and Cragen's voices.
"How you doing Liv?" Cragen asks
"I'm fine thanks, I'm just-" I stop as I feel a weird sensation in my stomach.
"Liv, you okay?" I hear Elliot ask

"Liv what's wrong?" Casey asks.
I yell out in pain as I hold my stomach. That's all I can do. Just yell.

"What's wrong?" El says sternly

Casey gets up and walks over to me.
"Oh my god her waters broke!" She yells.

"Oh shit!" I hear Elliot through the phone.

I yell out in pain again.
"Liv it's okay baby I'm on my way" el says
"No el meet us at the hospital" Casey says.

We get in Casey's car.
I yell again. The pain is so bad. The contractions are coming every 2 minutes.
"Casey!" I yell as she starts the car.
"I know Liv I know, just stay calm its okay!"
The jury to the hospital feels like it takes forever!
But when we finally arrive Casey is practically carrying me into the hospital.
"Doctor, we need a doctor, she's having a baby!" She yells.
"Okay ma'am how close are the contractions?" A nurse asks me
" every two minutes" I reply

We are taken into a room and I'm laid down on a bed.
"Casey please don't leave me" I cry as I see her walk to the door
"I'm not, Elliot has just arrived I'm just seeing what room we are in" she says.

"Hello" she says answering the phone and puts it on speaker.
I yell in pain.
"Liv, is she okay?" El asks
"Well, not really! She's kinda having a baby!" she says.
"I'm almost there" he says.
"I can't have this baby without him here Casey, I can't!" I say.
"Liv it comes when it comes!"
At that moment the door bursts open and El runs over to me.
"It's okay baby, I'm here now, it's okay, I'm here" he says kissing my forehead.
"Okay, you are going to need to push now ma'am okay?" The Nurse says
"I can't I'm not ready" I say I'm so nervous
"Ma'am you have to the head is crowning" she says
"Baby it's okay, I'm here and we're gonna do it together okay?" El says kissing my forehead again.
"Okay"
"Push on 3 okay?"
"Okay" I say squeezing El's and Casey's hand.
"Ready , 1.2.3"
I push so hard, it hurst so much.
"Your doing great Liv" Casey says
"Okay again ready" the nurse says
"Okay"
"1.2.3 push"
I push again, it's so hard,
"Baby your doing great" el says
"One more. 1.2.3"
I push with everything I have left in me.
I hear a small cry.
"Awwww it's a girl" Casey says with tears in her eyes
