Bigger problems

Garroth's pov

Aphmau seemed pretty concerned about this whole trip and I don't blame her, we are going to a new territory that we have no idea what's there. We have no idea if it could be dangerous or this trip will be meaningless. I was still pretty nervous about the whole cursed seas but I knew it just had to be something to scare people away from sailing near the Enki Warrior Tribe's island.

Then, as the sun started to set, I could feel a cold breeze run through my bones and it made me shiver. When I looked out to my right, my stomach dropped and I couldn't breath. "Everyone, take cover!" I yelled as I saw a large tornado like storm approaching. Before I knew it, the boat was consumed by the large storm and I could hear Aphmau yell my name.

"Aphmau get down!" I yelled and was hit with a forceful push that made me almost fall off the boat. "Garroth quickly!" Aphmau yelled as she stopped me from falling overboard by grabbing my shirts sleeve. We made our way down into the cargo hold and saw everyone else was there too. I let out a sigh of relief and I heard Travis say "I told you......this is the power of the cursed seas."

I looked at him and he didn't look very happy. I went around and checked if everyone was okay and I saw Aphmau. I smiled at her seeing that she was alright. Then, the boat was starting to shake violently and i ended up hitting my head on one of the beams. I blacked out and soon awoken with a cold freezing breeze run through me.

I looked up and saw Aphmau was sleeping next to me holding my hand. I smiled sweetly at her and removed my hand from hers. I walked out of the cargo hold hoping not to wake anyone and when I reached the top a large cold wind almost knocked me down. As I reached the top of the boat I froze with shock. Snow, snow was everywhere. Not that I hadn't seen snow before but no, the mountains were covered.

I jumped off the boat and looked around. It was freezing. Then, I heard more footsteps from behind me. When I turned around I saw that everyone was staring in awe at the mountains......except Aaron, he seems to never show emotion let alone his face which seems sort of suspicious, but enough about him this just seems........weird. Katelyn had brought Travis up out of the ship and he smiled when he stepped into the snow.

"What is this place?" Laurence asked and Travis said "This is the Enki Warrior Island." I was shocked and I stared at how big the mountains are. "Yay adventure!" Yelled a little voice and we spun around. I saw two children that I know all to well come out of the cargo hold. "Levin! Malachi!" Aphmau yelled in surprise. They were all big smiles and big toothy grins but no, this was too dangerous for two little kids.

"What are you guys doing here!?" Aphmau yelled upset. "We are here for adventure!" Levin yelled out excited. I could see Aphmau bubble up with anger and I quickly yelled out "Wait Aphmau! Don't explode with anger yet. Just, why did you two follow us?" I asked and they smiled and Malachi said "I just wanted to go on an adventure with mom but she would never take us."

"Why? I told you it was too dangerous." Aphmau said really upset. Malachi and Levin seemed to just understand and they looked down to the ground "Were sorry mommy." Levin said on the verge of tears. "We just......you never spend time with us anymore, your either too busy or your gone and we barely see you anymore." Malachi said with tears rolling down his face.

I saw tears form in Aphmau eyes and she ran and hugged them tight and cried saying "I'm so sorry. I didn't know I wasn't paying enough attention. I'm so sorry." Aphmau said and they hugged her back. I looked at Katelyn and she looked like she was about to puke and she said "Ewww. I'm getting feelings." Then she walked off. I decided to leave Aphmau with the kids and go check the place out.

I walked a little ways away from the boat but saw nothing but snow, mountains, and trees. I sighed and decided to head back to the boat. I saw Levin and Malachi playing in the snow and saw Aphmau watching them like a hawk. "We need to get them back home." I said to Aphmau and she looked up at me. "Yeah.....I know." She said seeming a little worried.

"Um Aphmau." Laurence said and we looked over to him and he said "Um.....the kids are gone." I froze and looked over to where Levin and Malachi were playing and it was true........they were gone. Aphmau, Laurence, and I ran out into the woods searching for the kids. "Where did they go!?" I asked and Aphmau seemed really scared. "I have no idea! They were there a second ago!" Laurence said.

We soon stopped to catch our breath and I could hear someone crying. "Levin!" Aphmau yelled knowing that cry anywhere. She was right, it was Levin. We ran to where we heard the crying and saw a group of people surrounding Malachi and Levin around a tree. Malachi seemed to be trying to protect Levin by standing in front of him with two sticks. He was trying to protect his brother.
