Aphmau's pov

I went inside the room with Katelyn embarrassed and she smirked at me. "What are you looking at!?" I yelled flustered and started laughing. It shocked me and I started to get upset. "Wh-what!? What are you laughing at!?" She looked at me and said "I never knew you and Garroth were so serious." I blushed and said "I-I'm going to bed!" I got in one of the beds and covered my face with the blankets.

I was trying to hid how happy I was but I was still so embarrassed. I smiled and let myself drift off to sleep. I woke up and notice Katelyn was gone and I was relieved because now she can't tease me. I yawned and stretched and got up from the bed. I opened the door to my room and when I stepped out I froze. Garroth was standing there with no shirt on and I started blushing madly.

"What?" He asked but I couldn't respond. I just started at him and his hand brushed up against his side and he blushed. "Ahh! Where's my shirt!?" He yelled and I started laughing. He blushed even harder and yelled "I'll be back!" He ran back into his room and I laughed even harder. My laughs slowed and I saw something out of the corner of my eye.

"Huh? These flowers look familiar." I said as I gently touched the leaves. "Its an Azure blue." Garroth startled me and I spun around. I smiled at Garroth and we talked about the flowers. "Wanna take a walk?" I asked and he nodded. I grabbed his hand we went to a field outside of Scaleswind. I smiled and spun in the flowers and Garroth blushed and looked away. I smiled at at his cute reaction but then I saw something dark.

I looked up to the sky and clouds were well, clouding up the sky. "I think we should head back." I said to Garroth and he nodded. We started to walk back when all of a sudden it started raining heavily. "Ahh! Garroth!?" I ended up losing him in the heavy rain and I heard him call my name. I searched for his voice and found him. I grabbed his hand and he called out my name.

"Yes, its me Garroth!" He squeezed my hand tight and we started running through the rain. We couldn't see where we were going but we soon saw a forest. "Garroth! In there!" I called out and we ran into the trees. I was trying to catch my breath and I started to feel a sense of Deja vu. I smiled at Garroth and he smiled tiredly. "Hey Aphmau?" Garroth asked.

"What?" I asked back. He looked pale and was staring off into the rain. "Huh?" I looked to where he was looking and my stomach sank. "Wh-what? No! That's impossible! We already got rid of the source!" I yelled and Garroth grabbed my hand. "Aphmau we need to run!" He yelled and I nodded. We started running again as five Shadow Souls chased us.

"Aphmau look!" Garroth pointed to a small house in the distance. We ran as fast as we could to it and we slammed the door shut behind us. Luckily the door had a latch on it and Garroth locked it. "Garroth, what are we going to do!?" I grabbed onto his shirt on the verge of tears. "Aphmau." He said as he stroked my cheek. I felt relaxed by the warmness of his hands.

"Aphmau don't worry, I will protect you." He said as he pulled me into his arms. I silently let out the tears and we sat to the floor. He held me from behind and his warmth made me feel like I was behind castle walls. "I'll never let you go." Garroth said and the tears fell faster from my cheeks. "Garroth, I don't want this to be the end." I choked out through my tears.
