Aphmau's pov
I was panting from yelling and I stared at Garroth's face. Is this the real Garroth or is the other Garroth the real one? "Aphmau......I don't know what to do and....I can't say that I know what you are going through but I do want you to know is that I am here for you." I Garroth said with a sad expression as he held my hand tightly. "Mommy!" I heard a voice yell.
I turned around to see Levin and Malachi running to me. Levin jumped into my arms and gave me a big hug. "You're okay!" Malachi said excited and hugged me. I felt a familiar warmth.....these two always comforted me in bad times so tears welled up in my eyes. "Levin.....Malachi." I sobbed as I hugged them. Maybe I could pretend this is real for a bit.
A few days passed and I was now out of the hospital. Garroth brought us to a house in a thing like a carriage but it didn't have horses. Garroth called it a car. Nights would be hard. I would stay awake all night trying to find out if this is real or not. I was standing in the kitchen confused. This whole house made me confused like there were moving drawings on a thing called TV.
I would spend my days in silence as Levin and Malachi were gone off to school and Garroth was doing work. Everything was so different and complicated. I was to scared to do anything so I sat on a chair in the kitchen and stared into space. "I'm home." Garroth called out and I turned to look at him. He smiled at me and went to go and touch my cheek but I flinched back.
"Is everything okay?" He asked and I shook my head. "This is not real.......this.....this is a dream!" I yelled and Garroth grabbed me by the shoulders and looked me in the eyes. "Aphmau, this is not a dream. If it was you would be able to wake up." Those words 'wake up' triggered something in my brain and everything started to spin. I heard Lucinda's voice.
"Wake up Aphmau!" Lucinda yelled and I stumbled forward. "Aphmau!" Garroth caught me and my vision blurred and everything went black. I slightly opened my eyes and saw a blurry figure in front of me. "Aphmau! Aphmau stay with us!" Lucinda yelled and I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach. A burning feeling was running through my veins and it was painful.
"Aphmau!" Lucinda yelled and I closed my eyes. When I reopened them I was in a purple dress in that wheat field in Phoenix Drop. I stood up and looked around. I saw Donna and Logan walking with Yip down the path. "Donna!" I yelled but she didn't even do anything. Wait......I remember this....this was the day after they adopted Yip....was time going backwards?
It seemed like my life was flashing before my eyes because I saw every event that happened since I came to Phoenix Drop.....except...the day I first met Garroth. All of a sudden my surroundings changed and I went to the first day I met Garroth. I reached out my hand and he turned around. "I love you Aphmau.....please...wake up." He said as he stroked my cheek.
I fell to the floor and awoke in Garroth's arms.....I was back in that strange and complicated world.
