Witnessed kiss

Garroth's pov

Aphmau reached out to the door and it opened. Travis' jaw dropped and he stared at Aphmau. She laughed shyly and I don't know why but I was starting to get.....jealous. I shook my head and Aphmau was looking at me. She looked scared and I grabbed her hand. "Well....let's go." I mumbled. Aphmau squeezed my hand and I smiled reassuringly at her.

We walked through the door and everything was magnificent. There was a small podium with a large book. I let go of Aphmau's hand and she walked up the small set of stairs. I looked at the water around the stairs and there were beautiful purple flowers. I immediately thought of Aphmau. I looked up at her and she was staring at the book. "Aphmau?" I asked.

After a minute I noticed her hand shaking and I could hear her sniffle. "Aphmau!" I yelled and she jumped and looked at me. Tears we rolling down her face and I ran and grabbed her. I pulled her into an embrace and Aphmau cried into my shoulder. "Aphmau what's wrong?" I asked and she hugged me and said "Don't ever leave Garroth. Never leave me. When we get home we are going to go to dinner and have a date."

I hugged her tighter and said "Aphmau where is this coming from? I would never leave you." Aphmau pulled away and looked me into the eyes. Her brown eyes shone in the dim light and she grabbed my face and kissed me. I was shocked at first but then melted into the kiss kissing back. I don't know how long we stood there but it felt like forever.

"Ahem." Someone said and Aphmau and I jumped and quickly pulled away from each other. We both saw Travis and Laurence standing there blushing. I felt my face get hot and I saw out of the corner of my eye Aphmau was as red as a strawberry......she is also as sweet as one too. "U-um.....yeah." I said embarrassed and I saw Katelyn in the corner clutching her nose.

"Um......Ah right.....I-I'm gonna go and check on Levin and Malachi." Aphmau said before running out of the cave. I stood there, a blushing mess and Laurence and Travis just looked at me. They witnessed the whole thing. I felt so embarrassed I just wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. "I-I'm gonna go get the boat ready for departure." I said and quickly left.

Why was Aphmau acting like that? What did that book do? I sighed as I went back to the crashed boat. "Oh....yeah....we can't leave until we get a new boat. I should probably ask Asmund." I whispered to myself. Ugg, how was I going to face everyone now? I feel so embarrassed. I sighed and walked back to Asmunds. I knocked on the door and it opened.

Asmund smiled at me and I said "Um, I was wondering. Do you have any spare boats?" Asmund tilted his head and shook it no. "Why do you need a boat? Its not like you can leave.....can you?" I nodded and explained to Asmund about what happened. His eyes widened and then looked sad. "Poor Travis." He mumbled. "Well, I'm sorry but, we don't have any other boats unfortunately." He said.

I sighed knowing it was going to be like this. "Thank you, and sorry for wasting your time." I said with a smile and Asmund patted me on the shoulder. "Take care of that girl. She may be a lord but she is still young. May Irene be with you." Asmund said with a small smile.
