Came to rescue me

Aphmau's pov

We were awoken in the middle of the night and Mino was looking at Fenrir concerned. "Are you okay my prince?" He asked and Fenrir nodded. "U-uh yeah I just um......fell out of bed." Mino nodded and said "Ah! This is no time for idle chitchat. Something is going terribly wrong!" Fenrir's eyes widened and said "What do you mean!?" Mino looked petrified and yelled out "There is a man holding a sword to your fathers neck!"

Fenrir's air caught in his throat and he started coughing. He shook his head and we quickly left the room. I froze when we got to the bottom of the stairs and I saw Garroth, holding his diamond blade to the kings neck." I tried to call out but I could not find my voice. "Garr....oth." I whispered. He looked different like.......he was not him, he seemed full of rage and anger.

"How dare you!" Fenrir yelled and lunged himself at Garroth. Fenrir turned into a wolf and used his claws as blades to fight Garroth back. "W-wait.....stop.....STOP!" I yelled and they froze. Garroth looked at me and he stopped breathing. "Stop......just stop everything" I started to cry and I saw a hurt look run across Garroth's face. He looked down and lowered his weapon from Fenrir.

The king was still shocked and I said to him "I am sorry, I do not love your son and I don't care about a prophecy that forces two to marry unloved." I choked back the rest of my tears threatening to fall and I finished. "Now.....give me the key to the dungeons and let my friends and I leave." The king was shaking at how powerful Garroth looked and he slowly nodded.

Garroth took the key away from him and we ran to the dungeon. Before we entered the room I felt Garroth's hand on my shoulder. When I turned around he gave me a quick kiss that felt like it had lasted forever. I blushed and his face went bright red. He looked away and opened the door with a word. When the door opened I heard Katelyn yell

"If its another one of you mutts you better be scared because as soon as I get out of here, I will have you running away whimpering with your tail between your legs!" I flinched and I heard Laurence say "Katelyn, its no use, just come off it." I pushed the door open and their heads spun towards us. "A-Aphmau!" They both yelled. I was happy to see them and I grabbed the keys from Garroth.

"Garroth?" Laurence seemed relived and said "Thank you........thanks for always protecting Aphmau." Garroth smiled and it seemed that he turned back to normal. We ended up escaping the place and we ran as far as we could that we ended up reaching Scaleswind. I let out a relieved sigh as we passed through the gates. We checked into an inn and Katelyn and I shared a room.

Before we entered our rooms I saw Laurence pout and he said "Aww, I was hoping to be able to share a room with Aphmau." He looked over at Garroth and he blushed with anger. "Laurence!" Garroth yelled and Laurence started to burst with laughter. "Guys......I'm gonna go to bed." I said and excused myself. "Aphmau wait." Garroth called out and he kissed me again.

"Goodnight." He said in a sweet voice and Katelyn and Laurence looked shocked. I blushed and stutterer saying "G-Garroth! Why did you do that in front of them!?" He blushed and looked down slightly. "Because I missed you." I put my hand over my face trying to cover my embarrassed face. "Aphmau?" Garroth asked and I looked up. He smiled and said "You look really cute with cat ears."
