Louis sat on his bed in his old room. As much as he hated admitting it, he missed home. He loved his apartment that he now shared with Niall but there was no where like home.
Louis had slept at his mothers house after having a fight with Niall. His boyfriend had just graduated and already started talking about adoption and getting married. Louis loved the boy but it was all too quick for him. They only came out together a year ago and Niall barely just moved in. Everything was going way too fast for Louis.
He stared at the floor, hearing people come in the house for the party. The rain was pouring outside, making it a cozy little party inside. Louis' favorite day was the last time they stayed inside because it was too cold out. He talked with Harry all day and it was amazing.
Louis could hear Niall's laugh downstairs, making him mad. They just fought. He shouldn't just show up at a family get together like that. Also, Louis didn't want to see him. He needed some time to calm down.
A knock was heard on Louis' door, making him groan. "Who is it?" He asked, putting his face in his hands. He wanted everyone to just leave him alone.
"It's Harry. Can I come in?" He asked from the other side of the door. Louis looked up. "Yeah of course." The door opened and Harry's head popped in. He smiled, stepping in and closing the door behind him.
He walked over to Louis, handing him a mug. "Jay made you some tea." Louis smiled, taking a sip of his warm tea. "Did you get anything to drink?" He asked Harry.
The younger boy nodded, sitting next to Louis on the bed. "I drank hot chocolate with Niall. Oh and I still don't like him by the way. It's impossible for someone to be that joyful all the time." Louis smirked. He didn't feel alone anymore. He wasn't the only one mad at Niall.
"Why aren't you down there with him anyway?" Harry asked, falling back in the bed. Louis shrugged. "We had a fight." He answered, placing his cup of tea on his bedside table. He then let himself fall on his bed next to Harry. "If you don't mind me asking, what did you fight about?"
"He moved in with me two months ago and just graduated high school but already wants to get married and adopt kids. We've only been together for two years. All this is way too quick for me. Sure I want to get married and have kids, but not yet. I'm not ready."
Louis didn't know why he was saying all of this to a kid but it needed to come out. He finally had someone who was offering to listen and he wasn't going to turn it down. He needed to get it all out.
"When you think about your wedding day, do you see Niall standing next to you about to become your husband?" Harry asked. Louis frowned. Harry was only a kid and talking about all these things. It was weird.
Still, Louis closed his eyes and tried to imagine his wedding day with Niall. The problem was, Niall wasn't there. It was Harry as a grown men.
Louis' eyes snapped open. It was wrong to think that way. He was disgusted by himself to even imagine being with Harry. They were ten years apart, which was way too much.
Harry stared at Louis, waiting for an answer. Louis turned his head to look at the young boy, they're eyes meeting. "Last year you told Niall that you were my future boyfriend. Why?" Louis asked.
Harry smiled looking up at the ceiling. "Maybe I'll tell you next year, when I'm sure." Louis didn't understand what the 10 year old boy was saying but decided to ignore it.
Louis looked back up at the ceiling and the two boys stayed silent for a moment, looking up at the pictures stuck to Louis' ceiling. It was pictures of boys that Louis would look up to at night when he was a teenager. Many of them were shirtless, making Louis slightly uncomfortable.
"Maybe you shouldn't look at those." Louis said. Harry didn't answer him. He just continued staring.
"Louis?" Harry then called out. "Yeah?"
"I love you Louis." The older boy smiled. "I love you too. I always will."
Another knock was then heard on the door. Louis sat up with a frown. "Who is it?" Harry sat up, looking down at his hands.
"It's Niall. May I please come in Louis?" He sounded vulnerable, something that Louis rarely ever heard.
"I guess everyone has their week point." Harry mumbled, getting up. He walked to the door, opening it. He looked up at Niall before pushing past him and down the hall.
Louis wanted to run after him but Niall was standing there with a broken heart. As much as he loved Harry, he needed to put Niall first. Niall was the men he loved after all.
