"Just one beer, I beg of you." Louis tried once again. His next strategy was to get on his knees and beg. He wanted that beer.

Jay shook her head. "After what happened last year? No way." Louis groaned. "It wasn't my fault! I was annoyed with Niall and needed to get drunk. But I'm fine now. I won't get drunk I promise. It's just one beer mum."

"One beer too much." Louis groaned. He felt like a kid who wasn't aloud to eat any chocolate.

He ended up breaking it off with Niall a month after the incident at the restaurant. He didn't love the boy anymore and just needed to move on. Sadly, he was nice enough to leave the apartment to Niall so now he was living with his family again. He found a new apartment and would moving in next week. He couldn't wait.

Louis gave up on his beer and decided to go sit on the couch. He let out a sigh, putting his head back. He was a 23 year old man and couldn't even have a beer. He was extremely annoyed. He would have to settle on juice or the whole day.

"Louis, look!" The man looked up to see Harry smiling at him. He held out a necklace to show Louis. The man frowned, going closer to see the pendant. "Is that the crystal I gave you?" He asked.

Harry nodded. "Mum got it made into a necklace so I would have it on me every day wherever I went." He smiled proudly. Louis let out a sigh and smiled at Harry. "Does it really mean that much to you?" The young teen nodded.

Harry took a seat on the couch next to Louis. He pulled out an iPhone from his pocket, making Louis raise an eyebrow. "Since when do you have a phone?" Harry shrugged. "Got it for my birthday. Mum said I'm old enough now."

"How old are you again?"

Harry rolled his eyes. "13. And you're 23. If you want an easy way to remember, I'm 10 years younger then you."

Louis' eyes widened. He had forgotten about how big the age gap was. It was horrible.

Harry showed Louis a picture of a girl on his phone. Louis frowned in confusion, wondering why he was suddenly showing him a picture of a random girl. "It's my temporary girlfriend." Harry said.

Louis choked on air. He wasn't sure if he had heard right. "Temporary?" Louis asked. Harry nodded. "I'm thirteen. I'm not planning on spending the rest of my life with her. She's just there for now."

Louis couldn't believe what he was hearing. He would never disrespect any girl to the point of calling them temporary. He wasn't sure if Harry was still the nice kid who cared about anyone.

"Didn't your sister tell you not to treat girls like that?" Louis reminded him. Harry looked up from his phone for a second before looking back down. "Yeah but me and my girlfriend already discussed this. It's temporary."

Louis calmed down once that he knew the girl felt the same. He would have hated for Harry to become a player or something like that.

Harry put down his phone, looking around the room. "I don't hear Niall's laugh. Did you leave him home?" He asked, looking over at Louis. The man chuckled and shook his head. "We broke up not long after the last party."

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Wonder why." He said sarcastically, making Louis laugh.  Harry smiled, looking down at his lap. Louis watch him for a moment. Harry was finally a teenage boy. Louis would be able to talk to him like he talks to his friends soon. They could actually become friends.

Jay walked in the room, clapping her hands once. "Who wants some hot chocolate before we get to the cake?" She asked, looking around the room. Harry's eyes widened. "Oh, I would like some if you don't mind Jay." She smiled at him. "No problem Harry. And you Louis?" The man nodded and Jay walked back in the kitchen.

"You sure you want some? Last time you drank hot chocolate here, you got sick and I had to clean you up." Harry's face went red and he looked away. "That's because you just kept giving me more." He tried defending himself. Louis chuckled and jay walked back in with the hot chocolates.

"Only one cup, alright Harold?" Louis teased him. Harry's head snapped up in Louis' direction. "Did you just call me Harold?" Louis nodded, taking a sip from his warm drink. "That's not my name."

"I know." He smirked, making Harry go red once again. They then drank their drinks in silence, greeting people who passed by from time to time.

"About your girlfriend. Why would you date her if it's temporary? Why not wait until you find the right person?" Louis suddenly asked. The whole temporary thing was bothering him. He didn't understand it one bit.

"Everyone has a girlfriend at school, we're both popular so it's expected, and makes some experience for when I get with the right person." Harry explained. Louis understood a little better but not completely. He decided to drop it and ask about something else that was bothering him.

"About a few years ago when you said you were my future boyfriend-" Louis started but Harry cut him off. "You have to wait a little longer. Maybe two years or so."

Louis' eyes widened. "Why so long?" He asked. Harry smiled. "The greatest things in life come to you with time and patience."
