Oh shit, oh shit, oh holy chicken shit. What the hell had I done. Why was I so stupid. What if I never got home? What if I was lost forever, forced to live on the street and do magic for a living?
These were the thoughts that were running through my head. Yes I tend to panic when I'm in bad situations.
"Breath Sash, breathe." I told my self. My voice shaking slightly. I turned around and began walking back the way I came, but I was so lost in my thoughts when I was walking the first time that I didn't even notice my surroundings. Nothing looked familiar.
There were so many streets with names I didn't recognise and there were so many turns I could take, the chances I was going the right way was very slim. It seemed the further I walked the more scary the neighbourhoods were looking. I saw some shifty looking teenagers and one man that was definitely on drugs. I really needed to find my way back. Only I would get lost in my own thoughts and actually end up getting lost for real.
I kept walking for felt like ever, until finally I came to a shop-if you could even call it that. The sign was rusty and was missing a lot of letters. I'm guessing it was supposed the be called Pete's Shop but it actually read Pe e ' Hop
Attractive.
I opened the door quietly and silently hoped and begged that there was someone that could be of help in here. The store was definitely in need of a health inspection. The floors were very dirty, the windows were full of grime and there was a very strong smell that smelt like some dead animal.
Behind the counter, a scrawny looking man, with black hair slicked back against his smiled at me as I walked up. He was missing a few teeth, and two at the front were gold.
"Well, sweetie. What is a stunner like you doin' hangin' around by your self?" He asked, his was accent thick and his breath smelt like stale beer.
I ignored his comment and began to talk.
"Sorry to bother you, I was just wondering if you had a phone I could borrow?" I asked in the sweetest voice could muster. I was getting really freaked out, the way the man was looking at me, made me want to puke.
"Ah wha' a shame, a sweet thing like you lost, am I right, am I?" He smiled widely as he spoke. I growled under my breath. He still didn't answer my question.
"Look I just need you use a phone, so do you have one?" I asked, my teeth clenched.
"'Corse I got a phone." He reached under the table and took out a grimy, old mobile. "Here."
I thanked him and walked slightly away from the counter so I could have some privacy. I dialed Elaine's house number, silently praying George wouldn't pick up.
The phone rang a few times before a familiar voice picked the phone up.
"Hello?" Chace's voice rang out. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank god, Chace. I need help." I told him quickly.
"Sasha, is that you?' He asked in confusion. Suddenly I heard a door slam and muffled arguing in the background. I waited for a few seconds before Chace came back on this line "Hey Sasha are you still there?"
"Yeah, now I really need your help." I quickly explained the story to him and told him the name of the shop and he said he'd try to get there as quick as possible.
I walked back up to the store person and gave him back his phone. He smiled creepily at me as I turned around and walked to the door.
"Not leavin' so soon are ya'?" He asked, still creepily smiling.
