EPILOGUE
3 Years later.
"Everett put that down!" I shouted from my kitchen, where I could see my 3 year old brother holding a glass vase- that he got from God knows where- and running around the coffee table with it held over his head.
Everett simply stuck out his tongue and began to run out the door with it.
"Woah there little buddy." Jamie said, taking the vase from Everett’s hand, placing it on the book shelf and swinging him over his shoulders, causing Everett to squeal in glee.
Jamie placed him on the couch and switched on the t.v. before coming into the kitchen. I sighed loudly.
"Why does he like you so much better?" I asked Jamie, exasperated. Jamie let out a small laugh, a very sexy small laugh.
"I'm just cooler, everyone likes me better." Jamie said cockly. I rolled my eyes. After all these years, he was still an arrogant prick.
Jamie walked behind me and wrapped his arms around me.
"I'm just kidding babe, no one likes there older sister." He whispered into my ear. "Anyway, I like you. Isn't that enough?" He asked sweetly. I wiggled out of his arms and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Nope." With that I grabbed Everett's food and began to take it into him.
"Love you." Jamie's voice rang out from behind me. I smiled to myself as butterflies erupted in my stomach. I would never get used to him saying that.
"Love you more." I called out.
Handing the food to Everett, I couldn’t help but smile. I couldn’t beilive how much my life changed in the last three years. I mean, I had a baby brother and an awesome mom who continuously tried to make up for all the lost time.
George never contacted Elaine again, much to everyone's relief. Elaine was happily settled in boston, with full custody of baby Everett. She was a wonderful mother and Everett was the seriously the luckiest child in the world.
I Was studying journalism in school and was in my final year. I never really knew what I wanted to be, but I had always liked writing. As soon as I got back from England I really threw myself into my studies and with the help of my english teacher, put together a profolio worthy enough to get me into a good school.
Unfortunately Jamie’s grades didn’t really imporove that much, but he scraped enought and decided to go to community college and get some qualifications. He actually found his niche which was mechanics, and he found an intership not to long after he left shcool. He was so good that they offered him a job. I couldn’t have been prouder.
My Dad was finally in a relationship. He met a beautiful woman in a cafe and things just went from there. She was seriously nice, and not crazy!
Chace bit the bullet and moved to Boston where he was studying business. He and Jamie still butted heads, but Jamie finally started calling him by his proper name, which was progress! He and I were as close as ever and he was my best friend. I talked to him about everything, he was seriously like my brother.
And as for me and Jamie? We were perfectly happy in our crazy and random life. We were completely and utterly in love. Everyday Jamie surprised me and I saw different sides to him I never seen before. The last three years were some of the strangest and best in my in my life.
When Jamie and I finally got together, things were a bit weird at the start. Everyone in school was shocked to say the least. I mean it was your typical cliche, the player and weirdo. My Dad thought, didn’t really seem to shocked. He admitted that he always knew we would be together some day. I found this just a little bit weird. He did give Jamie a very stern ‘fatherly’ talk, which I found hilarious. He really failed at it, but Jamie, for his sake pretended to be intimidated.
Jamie and I weren’t always together though. We did break up for about 2 weeks. It was about a year after we had got together and Chace was over at mine. Jamie came over, stumbling in drunk. Upon seeing Chace he started flipping out, shouting that I was cheating on him. He then went and punched Chace. I threw him out and told him that if he didn’t get over his insecurities than there was no point on him coming over again.
We didn’t speak for those 2 weeks, until one day I bumped into him in the supermarket. Exactly in the place where he was chatting up so me random girl all those years ago.
The two of us didn’t say anything and just stood there until Jamie kissed me suddenly and passionately.
We talked and everything was okay again and I think he finally believed that there was nothing going on with me and Chace.
So what about now? Well we were living together. I mean, three years together and we thought ‘what the heck?’
Who knew one week in England could change so much?
I was finally becoming content with my random life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
