“Everybody UP!” A loud voice boomed from down-stairs. I rolled over in my bed and groaned. Beside my bed,on the floor another voice groaned in exhaustion and let out a loud snore.. Alexia. Who the hell was shouting this early?
I listened for a moment, to see if anyone was still shouting down stairs. Hearing nothing but the snoring of Alexia, I snuggled back down into my pillow.
A loud knock on the door nearly made me jump out of my skin! It also shocked Alexia as she sat up abruptly mummering “I’m up, I’m up.”
“Everyone get up now!” Elaine's voice rang out from behind the door. And boy, she sounded angry.
“OKAY.” Alexia and I groaned out in unison. Which led us to both glare at each other.
I hopped out of bed and quickly pulled on a jumped and made my way out the door, rolling my eyes at Alexia’s complaining about how early it was.
Downstairs, I could hear a lot of chatter coming from the kitchen, though it didn’t sound like the happiest conversation in the world. I cautiously entered the kitchen.
Chace sat at the kitchen table, his head hung slightly in shame, while Elaine gave him a piece of her mind. To my surprise Jamie sat at the table across from Chace, a large cup of coffee in his hands, his black eye turning a slightly purple colour.
“Never would I ever had thought-” Elaine spat out, glaring at Jamie and Chace, only to stop while I entered the room.
“Oh now look who it is, miss mouthy. Never would I have thought my own daughter would have talked to an adult like you did to George yesterday! What is this? A house of hooligans?
Upon my entry, Chace lifted his head up and shot my a small smile, which I ignored. I was still pissed at him for whatever happened to Jamie last night. His face fell at my rejection. I hung my head, as Elaine ranted on.
“Before my own wedding and everything...Never..”
I walked to the the table, pulled out a chair from the top, furthest away from both Chace and Jamie and sat down. Jamie, who still hadn’t look at me, groaned at the noise of the chair being pulled out. Hangover.
“Oh stop your groaning, it’s your own fault.” Elaine snapped at Jamie. I raised my eyebrows, Elaine really was pissed. I really needed to hear what happened last night. Everyone fell into a silence. After a few moments, Elaine began to speak again.
“Okay, I’ve already heard the story from George, and let me tell you, I’m not happy. It’s nearly my wedding and it’s the one time I get to focus on me, so I would appreciate if I could have all of your co-operation. There is a lot to do.” Elaine told us, looking mostly at me. I felt a stab of guilt, I knew the George deserved my outburst, but Elaine didn’t deserve the stress. “So, I will agree to forget everything that happened if you guys agree to never let it happen again.”
I was still quite confused, I really needed to find out what happened to the guys last night, but I could tell now was not the time to ask Elaine. My gaze switched to Chace, he would tell me but would he be telling the truth?
