(Safiya's wedding dress at the top)
Safiya POV:
"No not that one!" The maid brought me another dress that was covered from top to bottom in gold flowers. I looked at it in horror. "What is with this selection? EVERYTHING IS FLOWERS! Flowers spell out wimp and I have no intention of introducing myself to the country that way!" I know I may be being harsh, but I'm stressed out. My wedding is in 2 hours and nothing is to my liking anymore. I'm done being nice about it. They brought another gold dress covered from head to toe in rubies. "I don't want to look like I'm a gold digger! Put that away." Accenath started laughing as she grabbed a dress from the back. "How about this Safiya?" I looked at the dress and found a smile coming on my face. "I LOVE IT!" I shouted as I hugged Accenath in glee. I watched as all of the maids in the room sighed with relief. Before long I had my make up and hair being done. Then I was put into my dress.
--- Dalila POV---
I sat quietly in my room as I wondered what I should do for the next 2 hours. I am so tediously bored right now. I don't want to even go near the stressed out Safiya right now. She's become a walking nightmare. I soon found myself standing up and walking to the door. Maybe I can go and annoy Darius or something, he's been in a very pleasant mood all day. As I opened the door about to walk through I bumped right in to somebody. I found myself falling on the ground from the collision. "Oh I'm so sor-" I found myself cutting myself off at who I realized I had bumped into. I watched as his face took on a look of surprise as he noticed me. And I reacted exactly the same. Silence engulfed us before I finally interrupted it by finishing. "ry". I noticed him look away as I realized there was some pink coming on his face, before he turned back around to face me and stuck out his hand to help me up.
I accepted his hand and soon found myself walking down the hall with him. "Are... Are you here to attend the wedding?" I practically stuttered out. Then looked away blushing as we made eye contact. "Um.. Yeah..." Would you believe me if I told you this happens every time we meet? This is probably the 5th time just this week I've ran into him, but we always start off the night shy. "That's... Nice." And awkward silence filled the air. Why do I always have to start the conversation? I inwardly sighed and then found myself look over to Larbanas while saying. "So do you-" He looked at me, then before I could say anymore he leaned forward and kissed me. We both came to complete halt as soon as his lips touched mine. Then he pulled away as I stood petrified in shock at what had happened. Suddenly his whole face went red as he started gushing out word vomit. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I don't know what came over me and"
I regained my composure settling on what just happened. " I don't know I just-" Then I did the most daring thing I've ever done in my life. I leaned forward and kissed him back, cutting off his sentence. I pulled back as he now had the flabbergasted look. While I, I just smiled at him. He snapped out of his daze as he wrapped his arms around me pulling me closer as he once again connected our lips. We remained like this for awhile before we heard a voice interrupt us saying. "I'd hate to break up your little... uh... moment..." Our eyes immediately shot open has we both pushed each other away on reflex, both of our faces going extremely red. I looked over to see who had caught us to see a smiling Abayomi and Accenath in our acquaintance. Accenath finished Abayomi's cut short sentence for him."But the wedding is about to start." I found horror quickly filling my face. Oh my gosh! THE WEDDING!
--- Accenath POV---
I had watched in amusement as the 'oh so loving couple' made out in the middle of the hallway. In fact Abayomi and I watched for about 5 minutes just to see if they would notice our presence. Yeah they didn't. I was just going to let them continue on but I guess Abayomi felt differently about the matter as he decided to interrupt them instead. Now we are currently walking to the wedding hall. Dalila and, well, whoever this guy is, because honestly. I have no clue. I've never even seen him before today, are both extremely red and looking at the floor. Poor couple, I can almost feel the second hand embarrassment. We made our way into the wedding hall and to our seats. The Pharaoh, honestly, looks genuinely unhappy. How odd, it's his wedding day. You think he'd be jumping for joy. I focused on the front of the stage as Abayomi took my hand in his. And I felt a smile grow on my face.
--- Darius POV ---
I watched as the palace filled with more and more people. Any second now, the wedding would start. I can not wait tell this wedding is over and done with. I've been waiting so long to get married to her. You have no clue how long I have been waiting for this day. I watched as the room became silent and Safiya walked in. Her appearance left me breathless. I could feel myself freeze once she entered the room. Then after my mind processed her appearance, I felt a genuine smile make its way on my face. I could never express in words how happy I feel in this point in time. Knowing that the gorgeous girl in front of me is about to be officially mine forever. We made eye contact and I watched as she smiled back at me. I watched as she made her way up to me and took my hands in hers while having the smile remain on her face. And you know something else? My own smile never once faulted during this order of events. I was so utterly and hopelessly in love with her.
