--- Safiya POV ---
The room was dead silent and the Pharaoh and I were having a stare off. "I don't want to talk to you, get out!" His laughter echoed across the room. "Like you can tell me what to do!" He had a smug smile on his lips. "I hate you." He smiled more and then got up walking over to me. Oh heck no! Not again. He got right up in my face. "You may hate me now, but trust me you won't for long." I glared at him. "Just what are you saying?" He backed away from me and then smiled more. "I'm saying, you'll fall for me again... Just like you did 7 years ago." I pulsed when he said that. "What did you say? What do you mean 7? I believe it was 5." He smiled. "Come on Safiya... Do you think I am that oblivious? I noticed your feelings 2 years before your little... uh ... confession." He smiled more. "You just weren't interesting enough as a child."
He gave me a smug smirk. "Being 17 and all, how could I have possibly been interested in a child?" He slowly checked me out. "I have to say though... You REALLY filled out. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a bit interested now." I looked down at my cleavage and back up at him. "You- You- What is the matter with you? Were you dropped on your head as a baby?" He dropped his smile and rose his eyebrows at me. Then he slowly started approaching me, while I quickly backed away. He stopped and started laughing. "You haven't changed at all! You're still so tense under my touch." I glared at him. "What are you talking about?" He grinned again. "Come on Safiya, you and I both know you didn't tell that maid everything." He started getting closer and then I backed up hitting my head on the wall. He started approaching even closer and I put all of my power in to my glare.
He caged me in his arms against the wall. "In fact, I remember a situation quite similar to this one. Do you remember it? Safiya." My face started to feel very hot and I could feel his breath fanning my face. He started smiling. "In fact, I believe you blushed... Just like you are right now." I tried to slow down my rapid breathing. Then looked him fiercely in the eyes. "I hate you." He laughed. " You said something like that too... Except you used the word 'love' instead of 'hate'. I remember finding it funny. Because you were stuttering every single word you said." I started trying to push him off of me. But he wasn't budging. "Stop Darius! Get off! Get off me!" He gave me a cocky look. "What happened next Safiya?" I looked at him confused. "What?" He narrowed his eyes. "Tell me what happened next... Now." I glared at him. Then he cracked a smile. "To late Safiya... I guess I'll show you instead."
Before I even had time to react his lips were on mine. I tried to push him off me but he tightened his hold around my waist and deepened the kiss. Once I managed to disconnect the kiss I spoke out frantically and out of breath. "That didn't happen! We didn't make out! It was just one... You only kissed me..." I stopped midway, noticing the victory smile he wore, and then continued. "Once." He completely got off me and started to walk out. "Goodbye Safiya." He gave me his signature smirk once again and then left. I could feel my heart beating to fast for comfort. This was bad. At this rate, I'll fall for him again. I have to get out of here. I can't let him win. I CAN'T.
--- 10 minutes later ---
Yes! He finally slipped up! After Darius left my room he forgot to lock the door again. I started walking down the halls looking for the way out. Getting weird looks from people here and there. "Who are you?" I looked over to see a girl with curly short black hair and dark brownish blackish eyes. She looked young and was fancily dressed. Considering the clothes I'm in I can't say I'm a maid anymore. "I'm am the Pharaoh's cousin, I am visiting from far away." Well technically it's not a lie. She gave me a snobby look. "Well i'm the Pharaoh head concubine... I'm his favorite... He pretty much sleeps with me every night." I raised my eyebrows at her. "Why would you brag about that?" I muttered more to myself than her. "Do you have any clue how much of an honor that is." I smiled at her. "Look, you seem nice and everything, but I really don't care. I'm not here to flirt with your Pharaoh, in fact, I was just about to leave..." I gave her another smile. "Good day." Then I walked away.
Wow! Talk about a whore. She needs to get some morals. I turned around the edge and saw the Pharaoh walk into a room. And of course being the way I am, I go by the door to ease drop. "So you're not going to answer me? Why am I not surprised?" I heard a female say. Don't tell me it's another one of his whores! How many of those does he have? "Look if that's all I'm going." Darius was the one speaking this time. "Darius wait! At least tell me who she is! I'm pretty sure I've already figured out your motives for this girl but at least tell me who she is." The female spoke again this time. "It's none of your business!" Darius said with his voice starting to rise. "Not my business? You're my brother! I am the princess here! How is it 'not my business?' Why can't you just explain something to me for once! I rarely ask you for anything. Why can't you do this one thing for me?" Dalila! It's Dalila!
"I'm done talking about this Dalila! You're grounded! If you want to 'ask' something of me then how about you wait until you're not in trouble." The the most awkward thing happened. There I am with my ear to the door when... The door opens. Darius and Dalila instantly stop talking and stare directly at me. So I do what anybody would do in that situation. First I start laughing like a maniac and then... I run as fast as possible. "SAFIYA!" I instantly hear footsteps running after me. "What? Safiya? That's who she is? DARIUS!" Next thing I know I am body slammed to the ground. "You know I am getting really tired of this chasing game we seem to keep playing. Next thing I know I am yanked off the ground. and Dalila is standing right next to us out of breath. "Wait! Darius! Safiya? She's? I thought you killed her. What is going on?"
"Safiya! Shut up and go to your room!" I looked at him in shock. "Me? I wasn't even talking!" He gave me a look of irritation and started to grind his teeth "I meant Dalila! My gosh! You two are giving me a headache!" Dalila just stood there clearly in shock. "Safiya, I mean Dalila, GO!" She jumped back, but nodded her head and walked back to her room. He instantly started to drag me across the hall, clearly leading me back to my room. There was so much tension in the air it you could cut it with a knife. "You're mad aren't you?" He slowly glanced over and started glaring at me. "Shut up!" Normally I would have come back at him... But honestly, I felt like now was not the time. So I did as he said and stopped talking. Not long after walking passed an endless amount of corridors, I am suddenly thrown into a room; I recognize as my own; and the door is shut then locked. Well that certainly went great. Worst escape attempt ever.
