--- Dalila POV ---

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked in disbelief. "I've been hearing rumors from the other servants, who heard from other servants who overheard guards mentioning The Pharaoh taking a prisoner." I was still looking at the servant with disbelief. "Wait, I'm sorry, but, that's ridiculous! Darius does not, nor has he ever, taken prisoners! The idea is preposterous... He would have killed them! What else have you heard about this matter?" My servant smiled. "Well actually, they say that the prisoner he took is none other than the leader of the rebel army them self... And rumor has it the leader is female." I looked at her in surprise. "The rebel leader? That makes absolutely zero sense. That makes it even harder to believe Darius would keep her alive..." I halted. "Unless... Perhaps Darius is interested in her... That is something that finally would make sense, him keeping her a personal prisoner that is! He probably wants to sleep with her. "

I instantly straightened my posture and gave my servant a serious look. "Is there anything else you have heard?" She gave me a mischievous smile. "Why yes, your majesty, very interesting information indeed." I narrowed my eyes at her. "Well what is it?" She got a cockier look. "My information won't be free your highness, I expect compensation for my cooperation." She held out her hand expectantly. I sighed. "Very well..." I handed her a bag full of gold. She quickly opened it, examining the inside. "Now talk..." She quickly closed the bag putting it inside her pocket. "Well your highness. I've heard from very reliable sources that The Pharaoh sentenced Runihura to death." My own gasps filled my quiet room. "What, but Darius is very fond of Runihura." She smiled. "Well as rumor puts it, Runihura almost killed the rebel leader while she was in custody and they say when the Pharaoh learned of this, he was very displeased"

I sat on my chair while grabbing my chin, going in to deep thought. "How very odd... Where is this rebel leader right now?" She smiled and held her hand out again. "You really want more money?" She gave me a devious look. "I told you my information isn't free... If you don't want to pay me anymore then why don't you just ask The Pharaoh himself, highness?" I rolled my eyes. "You perfectly well know the answer to that... Darius would never tell me just because I ask... Besides I'm confined to my room for trying to sneak out... I can't exactly go find him..." She smiled bigger and once again put her hand out. I gave in and handed her another bag. "You are very greedy... You know that?" She smiled at me again. "Well anyway your highness. The rebel leader is said to be in one of the guestrooms, being cared for by the Pharaoh's personal physicians."

"Hmm, do you know what room?" She shook her head. "Sorry, your highness, my information runs out there." I nodded back at her. "Okay, you may go, thank you for the information." She bowed and left the room. Just what is Darius up to? What are his intentions with this rebel leader? Something is not right here? Why did he get so upset about her being hit. I recall quite a few of his concubines being killed by Runihura... But he never showed any interest or anger in their deaths. In fact I don't even think he noticed. Just who is this girl really? Did he react because he is still interested in sleeping with her? He does seem to lose interest in his concubines rather fast, but than again he has had sex with them multiple times. Perhaps that is why. He wants to have sex first? The only thing that troubles me is the Rebel Leader would be his natural enemy. I highly he would want anything to do with her. Or her with him. Maybe that's why! Scoring her would be a really big challenge for him. And if I know anything about my brother it's his tendency to get easily bored. Having a challenge is new and interesting. So maybe how he is thinking in this scenario is If he scores her than in his own way he wins.

Darius you cunning little jerk. I understand now. Just killing her is to boring for him. He wants a challenge, and he just found one. He is going to try to do mission impossible and try to get his number one enemy fall for him. Then once he completes getting her. Having accomplished her, he will naturally grow bored of her and than kill her off. How totally messed up... That brother of mine. Well for that girls sake, I hope she doesn't fall for him. A female rebel leader? That is so very odd. She probably has a very unique character. Which is just the type of girl I could see my brother falling for. The only question is, who will fall first? The rebel leader? Or Darius? By the end of this will she be alive or dead? That is what will decide the true victor of this game of his. Well one things for sure, it should be lots of fun to watch Darius struggle. Because I get the feeling... He's going to lose.

--- Safiya POV ---

I'm not sure where I am. It's dark here and I can't see anything. I can hear things here and there but I'm still a bit disconnected. One thing is for sure, I am in a bed. Someone has been tending to my injuries. And my body is in a lot of pain. I can't move at all. What happened to Runihura? Oh yeah, that pompous guard came in and stopped him before he finished the job. So I'm alive. Why am I being tended to then? Why is the Pharaoh doing this? Just what is his aim. Honestly, not knowing why he is doing this makes me even angrier.  It's like he's mocking me. Man I hate him... If he just dropped down a hole and died everything would be perfect. Just what is that cocky wash pot planning? I'll figure you out sooner or later jerk face, you just watch me... What ever you're planning... I'll beat you! Then your pathetic face will come begging to mine for mercy.

--- Abayomi POV ---

My parents are in a discussion with the Pharaoh right now. They are all talking about politics, which honestly is one of the most boring topics ever. I may not know The Pharaoh very well but, honestly. he looks really bored as well. I decide to take the short silence as an opportunity to change the subject of our conversation. "Hey Pharaoh?" He looks at me with boredom. "What?" I get a smile on my face, which causes him to look at me with confusion. I am obviously freaking him out, since he probably isn't used to people smiling at him. "I've been hearing rumors in the halls that you captured the rebel leader, and haven't killed her yet... Is this information true? I'm honestly curious and since you clearly seem to be bored with the topic at hand, as I am. I thought you would perhaps like to talk about this instead... " He rose his eyebrows at me.

"You are quite blunt... Has anyone told you that..." He stopped talking for a second... Clearly trying to think of my name. "It's Abayomi, your highness." He gave me an uninterested look. "Yeah, okay... I really don't care... Anyway.. Yes what you heard is true... I did in fact capture the rebel leader." I gave him a smile, causing him to frown at me. "Look, I don't roll that way?" I gave him a confused look. "What?" Irritation came across his features. "I'm am only interested in women, and it is annoying having you come on to me... So stop it now... Or I will kill you." My mouth at this point was dropped open and I'm pretty sure my face had surprise on it. "Wait you think I'm? NO! I WASN'T TRYING TO IMPLY- I have a fiance... And unless she has been very unhonest with me, she's a girl." He narrowed his eyes at me. "Then why do you keep smiling at me?"

I tried to talk but no words came out. "I.. I...Look I honestly don't know what to say anymore... So how about we change the topic because this is very awkward..." The Pharaoh's expression wasn't readable. "Very well..." His eyes were studying me, trying to detect a lie. "So about the rebel leader... How come you haven't killed her?" I don't know why but after that comment his mood just suddenly morphed. "THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" I just nodded frantically, scared out of my mind. One thing is for sure, he is definitely hiding something. Just what are the Pharaoh's Intentions with this girl?
