--- Safiya POV ---

I felt a smile grow on my face as I saw them. "Abayomi! Accenath!" They gave me a smile. Then Abayomi picked me up princess style, putting the pieces together that I was hurt. As we walked further and further out of the building. I noticed guard after guard was knocked out. Did Abayomi do this? I never knew he could fight so well. Once we got out Abayomi walked up to a carriage, carefully placing me inside while him and Accenath sat across from me arm and arm. I smiled when I saw them. "So... When did you two become a couple?" I asked urgently. Accenath smiled. "About the same time you and the Pharaoh did." I could fill a blush forming on my cheeks as she said that.

"So what exactly happened? Why were you in there?" Accenath asked, curiosity in her eyes. I shook my head. "I don't know the full details, but from what I could catch they wanted to use me as bait to lead Darius into a trap. He was the one they really wanted." Abayomi nodded in understandment. "Makes sense... The Pharaoh has many enemies." Accenath suddenly became very quiet. I smiled once I noticed her lost in thought. "Hey Accenath... I've never asked you much about it, but how is your family?" She looked shocked by my sudden question but answered me anyway. "They have been doing well... I am the only one earning money so it is very hard. But we have sufficed, luckily."

I saw Abayomi wrap his arm around he comfortingly. "Why are you lying Accenath? You can tell her the truth." She gave him a sad look, mixed with a glare. "They died... Robbers broke into the house - And when I got there the house was destroyed and they were all-" she cut herself off with her own crying. Abayomi tried comforting her. I just looked at her with pity. I knew how it felt to lose your loved ones. "So Accenath? If your house was destroyed... Where are you currently staying at?" She didn't answer me and continued crying. Abayomi ended up answering for her. "She is staying at my place. Of course not in the same room but still..." I nodded in understandment.

"I really am sorry for your loss Accenath... I lost my own family years back... It isn't something you ever truly get over. You learn to live with it yes... You learn to accept that they are gone and that life is still moving on... With you included. But the pain never goes away. You just... Get used to it after awhile. It will become more bearable though... I can promise you that much." Abayomi looked stunned by my sudden response. Accenath opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out as the carriage came to a sudden stop. After that she closed her mouth and started getting up to get out. Abayomi picked me up once again and took me inside a mansion; I was guessing was his home.

He put me down on one of the sofas and then left the room for a few minutes coming back in with a nurse. The lady smiled and started examining my leg. Then wrapped something hard around my leg. It still hurt like crazy though. My guess was I had broken it.  The nurse whispered something in Abayomi's ear and then left the room. The nurse seemed kind and had a gentle expression on her face as she left. If Abayomi and Accenath ever have kids... I know she would treat them well.  Abayomi smiled at me. "Well Ne-Safiya... My nurse says you should be fine... But you did break your leg and will need to stay off it for a few weeks; if you want it to recover." I nodded in response. Not long after that Accenath walked in and sat down next to Abayomi, wrapping her arms around him and leaning against him in the process.

It was an adorable sight to behold. They were going to be a great couple indeed. That much I could tell. Accenath lightly smiled as I could tell she was gaining comfort by being in Abayomi's arms. I smiled at them. "So? How exactly do I get back to the palace from here? I have been gone for over a week and I can bet Darius is really pissed off so I should try to get back as soon as I can." Concern filled Abayomi's features. "But you're still hurt Safiya... You shouldn't even be walking on your injury! You should stay here until you recover." I sighed and then nodded in agreement. "Very well... It's not like Darius will drop dead if I don't return right this minute. I need a relaxing break from him anyway." I smiled at the couple in front of me. "So I think you two should show me to my room; so you can get more... Ugh..." I felt a grin grow on my face. "Intimate."

Abayomi simply grinned at my response but Accenath's complexion was turning as red as a tomato by the second.  Next thing I know she is shoving Abayomi off of her and walking out of the room in a rage. I gave Abayomi a guilty look. "Did I perhaps say something wrong?" Abayomi laughed. "No... She is just... A bit sensitive... She doesn't like to be open about her feelings so... Having someone so blatantly point it out surprised her... And Accenath responds to surprise by getting angry." I gave him a really propelled look. "Oh... Okay then." He smiled then got up from his seat. "Well I suppose I should show you to your room for now." He picked me up princess style and walked to what I assumed was a guest bedroom and sat me on the bed. Then he turned around and started to walk towards the door.

Hey Abayomi?" He turned around quickly and smiled. "Yeah? What is it?" I swallowed some of my own spit and said hesitantly. "Wouldn't Accenath get mad? You know at you carrying me like that?" He gave me a shocked expression, then bursted out laughing. "What? Of course not! She knows your injured and everything! Accenath isn't the type of girl to get jealous over trivial things." I nodded in understanding and smiled. "Well thanks for this... Really." He smiled and then left the room shutting the door behind him and I looked around at what would be my home for the next few weeks.
