"Yeah, alright guys! I'll see you tonight!" I heard Justin say 'goodbye' to his friends and watched him approach me once they left.
"So, where are you taking them tonight?" I asked, avoiding to look at Justin because he somehow always could see through me and understand if I was upset or anything.
"You mean where am I taking you all tonight!" He corrected me, an excitement in his voice.
"Oh, um, cool! Where are you taking us then?" A small smile formed on my lips, I tried not to sound or seem too excited. I was excited that I would finally spend some time with friends that I hadn't seen in so long but it was never my thing to jump up and down and act like an eight year old like other girls would do in my position.
Justin shrugged his shoulders and gave me a 'no big deal' look. "Just to a good VIP party."
"I should go get ready then, I only got.." I pretended to look at the watch that I wasn't even wearing "...like 10 hours!?" I rolled my eyes sarcastically at Justin who shook his head, acting like he was disappointed by my comment.
"Fine, it wasn't that good, I admit." I said, watching him form a soft smile on the edge of his lips which made me smile a bit too because I hadn't seen him smile in so long.
"Okay, so, I know this is random but what is up with you and Christian all the time?" Justin couldn't help himself, he exhaled the question he'd been holding back by the moment I had teased Christian previously.
At that moment, I was wondering how come and Justin had never actually seen how much Christian hated me and how much we despised each other.
"Um, what is up with you? Haven't you seen how much he dislikes me? Haven't you noticed how he acts around me?" I said after a minute or two, once I stopped thinking.
"No, I have not? I always thought you two were just kidding." Justin looked like it was the first time anyone had told him something like this.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought he told you." I stated, all sarcastic again.
"Stop that, no, he never told me anything!" Justin defended himself for no reason, like he was being attacked.
"Bro, chill the fuck out. It's nothing. He just dislikes me and I like getting on his nerves." I stated, as if it was a common, absolutely normal situation.
And to be honest, I didn't see where the big deal was anyway. Was it that bad for two human beings to dislike one another and throw shade at each other all the time? I found it perfectly normal because it was too common for me. I was a hard-to-understand person and only a few people would give the time to get to know me. Justin did, and he liked my personality for some odd reason. And a few other friends of mine took that time and they weren't disappointed either.
"Oh, okay, so I should act chill because my friends hate each other, huh? Like, it's a normal thing and there will be no problem out of that? Okay, cool!" Justin exclaimed, his voice full of disapproval and he sounded upset about it.
"Justin, for real. It's nothing, get over it." I mumbled quietly, trying to make him see that he shouldn't be upset over something like this because it was none of his business anyway.
"Right, don't act like that tonight though. Just let us have some fun instead of hearing you two being sarcastic assholes." Justin punched me playfully on the arm like I was one of his guy friends, but I didn't mind. I did that too sometimes.
"Jeez, whatever." I sighed and gave him a smile to assure him that I'd try to keep it down that night.
"Don't you 'whatever' me. I'll give you a ride back home and I'll come pick you up at 9, okay?" Justin's eyes met mine and I nodded as a response before getting into the passenger's seat.
One thing that I loved about him was that he could easily let go off things that would make him upset in the first place. Every time we would discuss about something and he would sound like he was upset about it, he would let it go once I'd tell him that it's nothing to worry about. And I liked that only because I never liked revealing my feelings. I could get away, unless he was insisting to find out what was bothering me.
