Chapter 15
In the morning, I woke up to the sound of baby giggles. I opened my eyes to see Bill holding our precious children. He wasn’t wearing hospital scrubs anymore. I sighed in content. He walked over to me and placed Alexander into my arms. I smiled contentedly. I cooed to Alexander and kissed his forehead. He was so adorable. He was sleeping in my arms. I looked at Bill and he was looking at us with pride and adoration. I looked at him similarly.
“I ordered all of the furniture we wanted for our house for when we found it and Lisa called to say that the house we looked at yesterday is now ours,” Bill whispered.
“We did? Oh mein Gott, that’s so amazing. When can we move in,” I asked in a whisper.
“We can move in as soon as our furniture arrives, and that will be in a week. We can probably move a couple of our things in from our parents’ houses. We are going to pamper these babies like there’s no tomorrow,” he whispered while he gazed at Sarina lovingly.
“That’s perfect, Bill,” I responded as I did the same with Alexander.
We held our precious children in our arms and were in awe. I wanted to move out and into our house as soon as possible. Bill told me that I would be released with the twins in a day so I just had to wait until then. I ended up taking various naps throughout the day. Bill sat by my side while I slept and when I was awake. I really hit the jackpot with him. We were in a blissful state of mind and being. I was so eager for the days to pass by though. I was really happy when night came around. I closed my eyes and waited for sleep to overcome me. Then I felt the bed dip in as Bill laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled into him.
I woke up the next day to Bill saying my name repeatedly. I opened my eyes to see his face right in front of mine. I just smiled and pecked his lips. He smiled and got out of the bed. He went to the chair and pulled it up to my bed. We smiled at each other and spoke with our eyes. Our conversation was so fluent for just being with our eyes. He and I are just so close that we can do this. I wanted him to check me out of the hospital with the twins already. He seemed to have gotten the hint and held up a finger. Then he left the room. I love him. I waited for him to return. He was taking forever or it was just my impatience. I looked around the room and saw the twins in their cribs in here. I got up out of the bed and went over to them. I looked into their cribs at their peaceful forms. I picked up Sarina to try and make sure we aren’t distant. I wanted to be close with both of my children. My mom and Sofie walked in at that moment and awed me. I just smiled.
“Bill went to get me discharged,” I told them as I lightly bounced Sarina.
“You look so adorable with her,” my mom cooed.
“I’m so happy to be a grandmother. And we thought it was going to be Tom to make us grandparents,” Sofie said.
“Well I want Bill to get back here,” I said. Just then the door opened to Bill panting.
“You are all set to go now,” he said hurriedly. “So are the twins.”
We packed up my things and I got changed into one of my maternity dresses. We put the twins into their carriers and left the hospital. Our parents apparently bought a second car seat for us. I sat in the back with them while Bill drove. Our mothers drove to their own houses in their own cars. Bill told me on the car ride to our new house that he had some of our stuff moved in already. I just blew him a kiss. We arrived at the house and parked into our new driveway. I got unbuckled and grabbed Sarina’s carrier. Bill came around to the side Alexander was on and grabbed her carrier. We made our way into the house and to the stairs. Bill led the way to the room he chose to be Alexander and Sarina’s. It was one of the medium sized rooms with the medium sized walk in closets. I was so happy and agreed with his choice. There were two cribs in there for them. One was pink and the other blue. They were light shades of the colors and fit the room perfectly. We set the carriers down and picked our children out of them. We carried them over to their cribs and placed them down. I looked at Bill and found a smile on his face. I smiled back at him. We left the room with a baby monitor in there and went to our room. He had his bed from his parents’ house in here.
We sat on the bed and relaxed. Bill then got on top of me and kissed me. Our lips moved in sync and he moved so gently with me. He licked my lips and I granted him entrance. His tongue slipped in. We pulled apart and looked at each other.
“So this will be our bed until ours comes in,” I asked.
“Yup; are you thinking what I’m thinking,” he said with a smirk.
“Now I am,” I said. “But the doctor said we have to wait at least three weeks.” I pouted.
“Dang it, I was so looking forward to doing that with you as soon as we got home,” Bill said pouting. I just laughed.
“Well you have to wait horny man,” I teased.
“Fine,” he harrumphed.
“I’m tired; let’s take a nap,” I said sleepily.
“Of course Liebe,” he whispered.
We got under the covers and fell asleep with a dream.
