Chapter 16

The next couple of weeks went by and we got settled in with our twins. Bill is such an amazing father. He wakes up every time they cry during the night and takes the shifts closer to when we go to bed. He says that I need my sleep after all of that hard work I apparently did carrying them around in my stomach for however many months I did. I can’t remember as of the moment. I have lost weight so I’m excited. Anyway, we have been parents for about three weeks now and Bill is getting impatient. We only had sex that one time and he needs to tend to his needs. I just want to wait another week just to make sure that my body has gotten back into routine. I mean it isn’t that I don’t want to; it’s just that I don’t want anything to go wrong. I guess I will have to do my best to keep him distracted. Our furniture Bill ordered came in and we moved everything around. We have our new bed and sheets. I made sure that our living room set was to my liking and had the kitchen cabinets filled with the appropriate utensils. I enjoyed designing our new house. Bill let me do everything. I set up our two guest rooms and was happy with how they turned out. I got my clothes moved into our closet as well as Bill’s. I asked him if he liked the way I organized the closet and he loved it.

We got our order of outside furniture the other day so we have to set them up outside. I already have our patio furniture out on the patio. I just love the way things are coming together. Today I am staying home while Bill is at the grocery store getting some more diapers. I was rocking the babies in the rocking chair in their room when I heard a knock at the front door. I got up from the chair and went downstairs. I put Alexander and Sarina down in their baby rockers and went to the door. I forgot to look through the peephole and opened it. I saw Jack Daniels from high school in the doorway. I don’t have the best memories of him seeing how he almost raped me and tried to kidnap me the day of graduation. I gulped and looked him straight in the eyes.

“Hi, Jack, what are you doing here,” I asked nervously.

“Hey Seenie, I just came to visit you at your new house with assface,” he sneered the fact that I’m with Bill.

“Don’t call Bill that; and watch your language,” I warned. He shouldn’t be saying that kind of language around my kids.

“I can say whatever I want to say. Now can you just come with me so I can speak with you,” he asked exasperatedly.

“Bill isn’t home so why don’t you just come in,” I said trying to be civil.

“Thanks,” he said.

I led him inside to the living room where Alexander and Sarina are. I sat down on the floor in front of them and started playing with them. I felt Jack’s stare on my back. I ignored the irritated aura I received from him and surrounded the twins with my happy one. I smiled at them with all of my heart.

“What; are you babysitting right now?”

“No I am not babysitting right now; I am looking after my babies. These are my son and daughter, Alexander and Sarina. They are my little bundles of joy,” I said happily.

“When did you have kids,” he exclaimed.
