Chapter 17 (Finale)

Chapter 17 

Things started to go back to normal after I got out of the hospital. I luckily came out of the situation the same way I went into it; not pregnant. I thank the gods that I’m not. Bill and I got back into our regular routine at the house. We have gotten even closer than we were before. In a way I’m sort of thankful for the little scare. I mean I’m not thankful for what happened to me; I’m just thankful that we were scared into realizing that life can be short and to live in the moment by not taking things for granted. I just hope nothing like this ever happens again in the future. Bill will just put me under house arrest and not even allow me outside at all; not even to open the front door. It’s been a couple months since the incident and I think Tom has surprisingly found a girl for him. He hasn’t been acting all Tom like as of lately ever since he met Veronica Bane. She is a year older than us but it doesn’t really matter that much anyway. He is head over heels in love with her. He follows her around like a puppy dog for the gods’ sake! Gregor and Gerhard had to pry him from her the other day! I can’t wait to see the day he proposes to her. He’s been talking about it for days now. Major shocker! He only met her at the hospital when it came time to check me out after the incident.

Gregor has found a friend in one of the girls from school. She was always a quiet one like him but never tried to be friends with anyone. They only bumped into each other at the store a couple of weeks ago. He adores her so much. I swear they are going to date sometime soon. Gerhard has been hanging with a girl that recently moved here from Germany. They talk constantly. Love is in the air for everyone now. Alexander and Sarina have certainly grown in the months that have passed. Alexander is already starting to grow hair! Watch it be my hair color! He already has Bill’s eye color. Sarina has my eye color and has Bill’s hair color. She started growing hair in the womb. Oh I crack myself up! Both of them are taking after us in different attributes which makes me happy. Bill is also happy about this. 

A few years passed and my other dreams played out before my eyes. The only one that hasn’t happened yet is the one of Bill proposing to me. I was outside with Alex and Sari, as we had taken to calling them for short, and just playing with their toys when Bill called me to tell me that he will be home in a few minutes. I said okay and that I’d see him in a few. I continued to play with Alex and Sari until I heard a car pull into the driveway. Bill came rushing into the backyard to greet us moments later. He told the kids he had a present for all of us but mostly for me. He had me stand up as he got down on one knee. He took my hand and pulled out a jewelry box.

“Sienna, we have been together through thick and thin and since high school; you were the bright light in that sea of blackness that kept me alive. Even though we are practically married in spirit and in the sense of living together, I want you to share my last name. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife,” he asked.

“Yes,” I said in a heartbeat.

“Yay! Mommy and Daddy are getting married,” Alex and Sari shouted super loudly.

I kissed him with all of my might in that moment. I couldn’t be happier. We broke apart and he placed the ring on my finger. We were tackled with hugs from Alex and Sari. I just can’t wait for our wedding day now.

Our wedding day came and went, as did my other dream of our honeymoon. We settled back into our daily routines. Rockin’ Royals released another album and went on tour. I trusted Bill and stayed home with the twins. Tom ended up marrying Veronica a short while ago. Gerhard and Gregor married their girls as well. I just hope Tom doesn’t screw up his marriage. He seems like the kind of person that will have a hard time staying devoted. On the other hand, Veronica has changed him so he does have a chance.  I guess that my life is just turning out perfectly aside from the incident.  Bill and I are still going on strong together. I still can’t believe that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with my high school love.
